Summer is just around the corner and we are happy to be drying out from this wet winter. The mornings through summer are cool, calm and foggy. The fog typically burns off by mid morning. The winds can pick up in the afternoons so if you plan to be on the river, it's best to do so earlier in the day. The wind does die down in the evenings. Our campsites are easily accessible by vehicle and we have room for tents, small trailers and camper vans too. The sites are grassy and relatively level, situated under large spruce trees. We are still in tidewater here so both sites sit above the river (about a 15' river bank at high tide). The Riverside site has a fire pit and a deck for viewing the river. (Please note, the deck is just for viewing the river and is not for River access. The steps were washed away several years ago and we don't have plans to repair them. We do have a caution rope for safety. The Riverwood site is away from the river bank about 100' and sits under beautiful, large spruce trees. It is a short walk from both sites to our ramp and dock to be on the river. There are signs on site to help you find your way. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests. There is also a small living and dining area, kitchenette with barista bar, microwave and small fridge. It is about 150' walk from both campsites. All areas are cleaned and sterilized after each guest. It is a shared space with other campers so if you use the space to eat breakfast, drink your coffee or get out of the rain we ask you put everything back where it was. We also require all guest to pack out their own garbage. We do not have garbage service at the property and to be respectful to the next guests, keep the property as you found it. We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. PLEASE NOTE..... The Glass House currently is NOT available until after September 4th. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. Bring your Kayak or SUP to explore the slow moving river (or rent ours!). Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife; migrating and resident birds, Beavers early in the morning and evenings. Our resident River Otters have been very active the past couple of years. You'll see them in the morning and evenings swimming, playing and munching on Crawdads. There are Deer although we seldom see them on our property but, they are across the river. There is a huge heard of Elk down river. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. There is hiking close by and miles of coastline to explore. We are happy to help you have the best experience at the coast...Just ask! A little about the process once you make a reservation: Once you reserve a camp site you'll receive a welcome message. About a week before your stay, we will send the physical address and directions and on-site instructions for check in. Once you arrive at the property, there is a HIPCAMP sign with an arrow to direct you to the 2 camp sites. There are also "END HIPCAMP" signs on our property lines to preserve our neighbors privacy. Check-in is 2pm or later, check out is 12noon or before. To be respectful of other campers that are excited to get outdoors (and to allow us to clean the bathroom and make sure the property is ready for the next campers) we need to adhere to these times. FIRE RESTRICTIONS - There are no fire restrictions currently but, we want you to extinguish fires when you leave the property. We have bottles of water at each site to do so. Also, we provide fire extinguishers if there is an emergency grass fire. We don't always have firewood available onsite so you might want to bring a bundle anyway. A little about the property and us: We purchased this property 10 years ago. We had only dreamed of having a place on a river...somewhere...when we came across this property. Our Hipcamp sites sit on bare property adjacent to our house. The property and house had sat vacant for 3 years prior to us finding it. It was a mess, all overgrown with blackberries, moss, etc. We spent the first 3 years cleaning up the house, apartment downstairs and putting in a new patio, new ramp and updated and larger dock. We both love the outdoors and have always loved camping with our kids. Rick is an avid fisherman/hunter while Debbie enjoys kayaking, gardening, reading and watching the river go by. Thanks for checking us out! Debbie and Rick and our two Cattledogs, Luna and PiperSpring is finally here and we are happy to be drying out some. This is the Oregon Coast so the weather is still unpredictable and can rain into early July. Our campsites are easily accessible by vehicle and we have room for tents, small trailers, small self contained RV’s and camper vans. The sites are grassy and relatively level, situated under large spruce trees. We are still in tide water here so both sites sit above the river (about a 15’ river bank at high tide). The Riverside site has a firepit and deck for viewing the river. The Riverwood site is away from the river bank about 100' and sits under beautiful, large Spruce trees. It has it's own firepit. Both have tables for your use. It is a short walk from both sites to our ramp and dock to be on the river. There are signs to help you find your way. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests, Yay! We have an apartment in the downstairs of our house, about 150' walk from both campsites. It has a kitchenette with barista bar, microwave, small fridge, small living area, and private toilet (Loo). All areas are cleaned and sanitized after each guest. It is a shared space with other campers so if you use the space to eat breakfast drink your coffee or get out of the rain we ask you put everything back where it was. We also offer our little sleeping Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. Currently the bunkie is available only September 4th into fall. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (please bring your own sleeping bags.), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You’ll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. Bring your Kayak or SUP to explore the slow moving river (or rent ours!). Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife: Migrating and resident birds, Beavers in the early morning and evenings. Our resident River Otters ( a family of 6) have been very active the past couple of years. You’ll see them in the morning and evening playing and munching on Crawdads. There are deer although we seldom see them on our side of the river. There is a huge herd of elk down river from us. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. There is hiking close by and miles of coastline to explore. We are happy to help you have the best experience on the coast…just ask! There are also fire extinguishers in case of emergency. A little about the property and us: We purchased this property 10 years ago. It includes 7 lots, two and a half that our house sits on, a couple of easements lots and these three lots that is bare land sitting under a beautiful stand of Spruce trees. The property and house had sat empty for about 3 years prior to us finding it and it was a mess, all overgrown with weeds and blackberry. We spent the first 3 years just bringing it back to a livable space. Back in the late 30's and 40's this stretch of the Siletz River was called Mack's Landing. The original house where there was a gas station and mercantile is still here and there were small fishing cabins along about 500' of river front. We still run into the concrete foundations from time to time. We had only dreamed of having a place on a river...somewhere... when we came across this property. We love the outdoors and have always loved camping with our kids. Rick is an avid fisherman/Hunter gatherer while Debbie enjoys kayaking, gardening, reading and watching the river go by. Thanks for checking us out! Debbie, Rick, and our two Heelers, Luna and Piper

Riverside peace
We had a very peaceful stay at the Riverside Site. The property was quiet, the river serene, and we even spotted an otter in the river in the early morning! The indoor facilities - kitchenette, sitting room, bathroom - provided were clean and pretty, thoughtfully stocked, and conducive to a relaxing stay! I felt cared for by a friend. We were only here for a night, but it seems like a great place to spend a weekend, explore the river, do some beach combing. Only about 30 minutes from Newport, 9 miles from Lincoln City.

Riverside/Riverwood Camping
Myself and two friends tent camped here for a night. We had plenty of space for our two smaller tents. It was kinda like a backyard campout in the best way possible! The amenities are great - fire ring, table, bathroom & fridge access, didn’t spend any time on the water but the dock was lovely. There’s one other site, the other group had a smaller camper which, they parked in a way that gave us both privacy & it was a quiet night!
