Enjoy the calm, quiet serenity of the South Santiam River. Get back to the basics here and just relax and enjoy nature. We have a small cabin with a bunk bed, and a camping toilet is provided. Bring your tent or camper for extra room. Our campsite is nestled among the trees next to the river. There's lots to enjoy. Do you like hiking? Silver Falls State Park is only 36 miles away. Boating? You can put in your kayak/canoe at Gills Landing in Lebanon and float down the river back to the campsite. Fishing? Bring your fishing pole and try catch and release in our pond. Swimming? Take a swim in the cool water. Of course, you can just relax by the water's edge and enjoy the tranquility provided by the soothing flow of the river. This 192 sq. ft. cabin is very basic. There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.Bring your tent and/or camper for extra sleeping space. Small cabin has a bunk bed, a few kitchen items, i.e. dishware, teapot, and some cooking pans. Camping toilet with a wash station is located near the cabin. Enjoy lots of outdoor activities including boating, fishing, swimming, and hiking at nearby trails. Unwind and relax in the peace and quiet of the mid-Willamette Valley.

A very pleasant getaway alongside the river. Cozy and with every convenience we needed for a night of cards and conversation.

We had a wonderful time staying here with my family. The kids had a blast exploring and playing by the water. Camping chairs were setup for us down by the river. Plenty of firewood for late night campfires. The cabin was beautiful and had all the amenities you would need to cook. We loved it a lot and want more to come back here soon again.

A first taste of camping for kids
We brought our three small granddaughters—ages 8, 6, and 4—for a "first toe in the water" intro to camping. They are city bred and nervous of the dark, non-flush toilets, and possible crocodiles. Santiam Serenity was perfect for them. The shallow water of the river sideslip was safe for play and the smooth stones fun to build with. We saw minnows, a garter snake, and deer, but nothing that roared or stung. I made an expedition with the oldest (Balboa in Panama!) to discover the wider river. If we came again we might try fishing. The cabin made a cozy retreat from too much camping. It is more commodious than it appears in the photos. Our host, Michelle, has provided pretty much everything a visitor could require, as well as thoughtful extras like boxed games and a vase of fresh flowers. We were a fairly large group (7 people) but, honestly, I think a couple could arrive with no more than their toothbrushes and a change of undies and be perfectly comfortable.

Great camping spot
Nice and peaceful camp spot. The cabin was set up with pretty much anything you may need. The site was easy in and out for our travel trailers. Depending on the time of year, make sure to bring bug spray!!

Fun for kids and dogs alike!!
Fun place, kids loved the stream and all the critters we could find living in it. Saw tons of deer tracks but no deer but that’s likely because of loud children. Very secluded and tucked away. Would definitely visit again
