We are in the shadow of Mt. McLoughlin in the high Sierra of the Cascades. Our Ranch was part of the original 1800's Oregon land grant. We have our own fresh water springs..cool nights with 1 million stars. No lights touch our prairie. Lake of the Woods is 10 minutes away but we are on Howard lake and just down the road from Hyatt Lake and The Cove Restaurant. Best hamburgers, pizzas, Vegetarian food to be had. Our riding pastures back up to Lilly Glenn Equestrian Park. Our barn is equipped to board up to 8 horses.. We are a Ranch in rehabbing mode but are ready for campers who can come and share our vision. Hopefully start a tradition.. Our unspoiled pastures are here for arrowhead searches, mushroom hunting, wildlife viewing, horsebackriding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and hiking. We are in the shadow of Mt. We loved Kevin's spot! He is just an interesting, inspirational, and generous person with his guests and community. It was just a beautiful weekend in a magical spot. Thank you.
Nothing fancy but a quiet, off the beaten path spot to overnight. Campsite is nestled among pine trees at the edge of the property with a walking path to the nearby lake. Perfect for my truck bed tent setup.
A fantastic venue - beautiful, peaceful, truly natural. Kevin is a consummate caring host and wonderful educator on the history of the ranch and the care of the horses and cows. Definitely would return.
Kevin was a great host, really outgoing and nice, he gave us useful pieces of advice. The camping spot had a mesmerizing view (volcano, forest, cattle and horses) and we slept very well. It was a perfect overnight stay.
Secluded site, lovely view of the prairie and the volcano. Kevin is a saint. Horse whisperer, people whisperer. On-site spring with cool, clear water (water). Short walk through beautiful woods to Hyatt Lake. Serenaded by coyotes, owls, and mystery creatures ooo lah lah. This is a super-find in the hipcamp universe.
