Four secluded campsites along Bear Creek in the Poconos, feature spacious safari tents with queen bunk beds, covered dining area, a deck to set up an additional 6 person pop up tent. In addition we have “Check Point Shed” where campers can borrow gear. Drive into your campsite immediately you will hear the sounds of a babbling creek, by giant rhododendrons under magnificent hemlocks and oaks - a truly natural and relaxing experience. Campers can enjoy a short hike to our private waterfall with swimming hole or lay in a hammock by the creek. The sites are surrounded by 400 acres of privately owned natural forest with several miles of marked trails. The campsite is adjoined by Lehigh Gorge State Park and PA state game lands. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended for hiking. Just minutes away there are outdoor adventures galore: white water rafting, kayaking, biking on rail to trails bike paths, skirmish paint ball, Glen Onoko Falls and Hickory Run state parks. The mountaintop entertainment venue Penns Peak and the historic town of Jim Thorpe are just 15 minutes from the campsite. Jim Thorpe has many fine eatery’s, shops, the Lehigh Gorge Railway and Asa Packer mansion

Retreat on Bear Creek
Gratitude
Everything! Very clean, natural, organic, and primal. A wooded oasis with such peace and beauty. The sites were perfect. Trails resonate with a quiet and serene environment. The waterfall and watering holes were beyond any expectations. And Scott and Christina were the most pleasant hosts. We are so very grateful. We are excited to return.

Bear Creek Hideaway in the Poconos
Gorgeous property and a really great host! Scott greeted us and showed use to our site. The sites are all very private and well kept. Many details are taken care of to make it a great camping experience you can tell the owners put alot of care and thought into the property. We we are lucky enough to see a black bear walk through our campsite. He was not interested in us at all. The hike and the waterfall were the highlights for us. Absolutely amazing natural features thay I have never seen equaled at any site I have ever been too. This place is totally worth the money and we will definitely be back.

A Creek Runs Through It, Poconos
This place is magic! It’s our second time here and we will continue to keep coming back! It’s quiet, very private, and has so much to explore. My three sisters and I came with their kids, aged 10 and 7, and they loved it too. Scott and Christina are lovely hosts.

A Creek Runs Through It, Poconos
We had such a wonderful time. Lots of camp equipment, no cobwebs in the shower or outhouse. The property is amazing, full of wonder and magic. The owners were so nice and meeting them just added to the charm of our stay. We even saw a black bear. Tried fishing but didn't catch anything, but definitely saw the fish in the water! Can't wait to come back, maybe when the creek is a bit warmer! lol

Bear Creek Falls Getaway
Great site!
The site was beautiful with the creek running through it, lots of shady trees, and rhododendrons starting to bloom. The camp had everything we needed and the tent and bed were super comfortable. Scott was very helpful. The waterfall on site was incredible! We will definitely be back :)
