In 2015 we purchased the perfect piece of property, after realizing how badly we needed an escape from NYC. We camped here ourselves for the next few years, enjoying the land in every season. In 2018 we built a home. Now we can't wait to share the land with others! PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BELOW. Sixty acres of magical trees, a one acre pond, and a three acre field. From the road there is a two hundred foot elevation gain to the top of the hill. Along the way are several hundred feet of rock ledges, caves, and critters. Most of the land is sloping, but the hilltop is flat as a table, with prehistoric-looking ferns under a dense canopy of mature trees. The campsites are ultra secluded- about a quarter mile apart from each other. All sites include a fire pit, cooking grate, picnic table, and sites 2&3 have platforms. Camp One is on the top of the hill, and a small car can be driven to within 150 feet of it. It is pretty flat, and surrounded by blackberry bushes, ferns, and trees. Camp Two is on a bluff overlooking a picturesque swamp, filled with hemlock trees and ferns. This site can not be driven to with anything less than a high clearance SUV, so I consider it a hike in site. It is a ten minute walk from the pond and parking lot, but the view and feel is worth it. (It has been brought to our attention that there is occasionally a group riding atvs on a neighboring property that are audible from this site. We have no control over what time it happens, so please keep this in mind) Camp Three is accessible with a four wheel drive vehicle, something at least as high as an SUV. It is the closest to the house and pond, but still far enough to feel secluded and completely private. If you choose to walk there, it’s only a couple minutes from the parking area. Throughout the property, there are many quiet places to hang out, flat spots to do yoga, trails to explore, and fishing and swimming in the beautiful pond. What a great spot (site 3)!!

Daniel was extremely welcoming. His property is spectacular, and each campsite has a tent platform, firewood and a fire pit. The campsites are well dispersed around the property. 100% will return.

3 (Camp 3)

Beautifully kept land, and the pond is such a gem. The kids swam all weekend long. Campsites are secluded, and we enjoyed the “hike” out to Campsite 3. It was the perfect distance for the kids to feel like they’re way out in the woods but still within reach of the car and porta-potty. Recommend bringing a bear canister if don’t want to hike back and forth to your car to keep food safe. Looking forward to camping here again!

A must for the chillers!

There is no other camping destination I would rather be at than what my friend's and I affectionately called 'Dan's Land'. Dan and his family really have something special on their 100-acre property. So much so, that I have camped here 2-3 times a year with friends. Dan's property has it all. Whether you're after scenic views, relaxation, or a dip in the insanely-refreshing spring fed pond, you will find some reason to come back. I highly recommend not only renting out the camp, but the new Airbnb on the property as well! My friends and I usually rent out a couple camping sites and the Airbnb to cover everyone's camping preferences. Also, being able to take a shower at the Airbnb is nice to have. My friends and I already started planning another trip in September before we even left Dan's land. It is truly a special place.

Great place! We were the only ones there but still felt secluded. The lake was gorgeous and we had so much fun swimming in it. Daniel and his wife were so responsive and helpful when we forgot to bring dish soap! It was such a beautiful site with many things to do including lots of hiking trails. Would definitely stay again!
