Welcome to the Lookout. We have made many improvements to our land in the short time we own it. We plan to keep upgrading our property. We plan to use the land for Recreational activites. We have a Hiker Hostel in the Building. The Building was previously the Blue Mountain Lookout Restaurant but has been neglected for approximately 20 years. We are trying to restore the property to bring it back to life.

Great site! Lots of space with great views. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating! Would definitely come back.

The sight was gorgeous, the lookout was perfect!! Very friendly people and gave us extra fire wood which was very appreciated(: Only 2 sites and we were the only ones there so it was nice, quiet and peaceful. Definitely will be going again!(:

Loved the campsite! Felt like we were on our own with no other campers in site. Hosts were super friendly and helpful if needed. A definite must!

Reliable, easy to access!
Site was easy to access, safe and clean, with fire pit and chairs, fire wood available at the site for purchase, enjoyed the beautiful overlook!

Primitive site 2
Loved these secluded site, well maintained with excellent shade. Was able to get my 2 door Jeep JL in and turned around (5 moves) with a very small trailer. It’s tight. The downside is it’s close enough to the road that you can hear the trucks engine braking during the morning/day. (We were there on 2 weekdays). With that I would still recommend as you are close to Jim Thorpe.

They do mention the noise and the glass in the dirt, but there was more of both than I expected tbh. We still had a nice time and hiked a bit of the AT.
