Set up your camp beside beautiful Tinana Creek, this large freshwater creek is perfect for fishing and all your favourite water activities. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the abundance of wildlife that visits the property.
The property is situated only 10 minutes drive from Maryborough, making it easy to explore this historic town.
Guests are required to be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
Site 1 is better suited for tent campers. The site is a turfed section containing picnic table and small shelter shed, fire ring and access to boat ramp.
Site 2 is suitable for tents or self contained caravans and RVs, and is situated right on the water.
Pets are welcome but please keep them restrained whilst on the property.
Wrights on the River offers a peaceful and scenic camping experience right on the water's edge. Visitors frequently mention the warmth and helpfulness of hosts Owen and Wendy, adding to the inviting atmosphere. While the tranquility and natural beauty of the site are major highlights, some campers noted the presence of mosquitoes after dark. Overall, it’s a favored spot for those seeking relaxation and engaging with nature through activities like kayaking and fishing.

📍🏕️ Wrights on the river, Tinana Creek 10 minutes from Maryborough. Owen and Wendy have created this beautiful picturesque stay right along a freshwater creek. Great for fishing, kayaking and swimming. Grounds are kept in immaculate condition. A private and tranquil place to get away and escape. 10/10 stay and will be coming back again.
Right on the river, absolutely beautiful quiet spot. The mozzies were out in force after dark and unfortunately that was enough to have me pack up and leave instead of staying my second night. Lovely hosts though.
Our second time here and won’t be the last. We absolutely love this place. If you want somewhere to relax with the most beautiful and serene surroundings this is the place to come. Sit by your camp and enjoy creek frontage at your doorstep. The creek is perfect for easy kayaking with calm, clean water. There’s also little tributaries to explore. If you’re up for a challenge try the 20km round trip paddle to Teddington Weir. We didn’t go fishing but the creek is alive with fish and other creatures and we saw some people fishing near the weir and from kayaks. Campsite and surroundings are well maintained. Definitely give this place a go if you’re looking for somewhere to relax and enjoy nature.
