SELF CONTAINED CAMPING ONLY. Leave no trace camping facility. Rubbish to be removed by campers. Encouraging lovers of Australian flora and fauna and natural surroundings to come enjoy this special place. A 100 acre Bush woodland block with KI Wildlife fauna and flora. Situated above the islands ismuth and more south Coast. Wildlife includes Western grey kangaroos, KI roos, wallabys, echidna, Rosenburg goanna, abundant birdlife and flora. We were not burnt out here. Our aim is to have complete freedom from stress and anxiety'Ataraxia'. To achieve ataraxia we need to keep our desires in check and simply satisfy our basic needs. Thats what we offer. Raw nature, you bring what you need self contained camping. Toilet facilities may come later if needed. Walks and beautiful beaches, lagoons nearby. Great fishing nearby too. Townships 10-15 mins (Penneshaw and American River) . Kingscote 30-40 mins NO CATS ALLOWED. Other pets allowed but must be controlled by owners as it is a wildlife habitat too. And the roos are BIG! Please do not feed Kangaroos as it encourages dependence. This is a progressive start as a beginner for hosting hipcampers I am taking small steps to improve the facilities as the needs are observed and recognised. Cleared area situated on Bush block edge that has an open space where roos feed. Sheltered from winds. Sun for most of the day. Generators are not encouraged but, if needed, use in daytime hours and keep use to a minimum. Close Townships- Penneshaw 22km American river 12km Kingscote 40km approx.
