Fern Gully
It was very nice to find a campground near town, not far from where I lived and on short notice! My nephews and daughter decided that we needed to go camping on short notice and all the other campgrounds where full up. The access to it was easy and a short hike to that camp. Mike even came and checked on us too see how we are doing and the true landowner the old dog made sure we were enjoying it as well. Great access to a swimming spot on the Saluda river and easy hiking trails for my 4 year old. Over all 9/10.

The Bend
Great spot on the River!
Fun place right on the river. Had a great time, a little close to the park across the river with screaming kids. Wonderful place. Will stay again!

Fern Gully
The best campsite possibly ever!
This was truly one of the best campsites I’ve ever stayed at! While this site might not be ideal for novice campers (no potable water access or toilets) for folks willing to rough it just a little bit, Fern Gully is an absolute dream. The site overlooks the river and has a path down to two different river access points which are lovely spots to sunbathe or cool off in the water. Bring floaties and life jackets for the kiddos for a relaxing float down the river (ask Mike for the details.) You’ll be only a few minutes from Greenville which has an awesome farmers market and cute downtown. Mike and Kelly are everything you could ask for in hosts- super friendly, helpful, and easy to get ahold of. Fern Gully fits one tent comfortably and two (small) tents cozily. Can’t wait to come back! 12/10 would recommend.

The Bend
Good sized open area for larger tents and a large fire pit, too. There is a string of small solar lights that come on at night for ambient light, which was a nice touch.
