This is such a beautiful area. Whether you just want to relax or go off fishing or kayaking there is plenty to do and very accessible. The glamping tent was such a cool experience and very clean. It ended up storming pretty bad when we were staying so the only thing I would say is that this campsite needs some type of covered spot to cook under or to sit outside so you aren’t just huddled in the tent or trying to cook in the rain.

Great host, wonderful venue! It was super clean and very well maintained. The kayaking was my favorite part. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants a sweet retreat 🎈

Loved this spot! Great community fire pit, sites were clean and off the marsh but not too buggy. Perfect getaway- plan to come back!

Beautiful! But not remote.
Me, my husband, and our two kids (age 1 & 3) camped at primitive site #2.
Macey is a very personable host and this is a beautiful piece of land! She quickly answered my questions and was great to talk to. We loved being able to see the marsh views and camp under the big trees that offered plenty of shade and great places to hammock at our site. The viewing deck near our camp site was fun to walk on, too, and the kids enjoyed using it as a stage. The string lights, stocked firewood pile, and citronella (planted in planters to keep the bugs away) are some of the many thoughtful touches that has been added to make this a great escape!
Although beautiful, we were hoping for an area that felt a bit more private and remote. All the camp sites are fairly close together, and the fire pit area/picnic table feels more like someone’s backyard than a place completely tucked away into nature. Which I’m sure is fine for many people, but it just wasn’t what we particularly wanted. Also, the site we camped at is 15 or so feet from the horse enclosure, and we would hear galloping and other horse sounds at night accompanied with an excess of flies during the day.
We may not be back again to primitive camp, but it’s a great stop depending on your needs! The glamping sites looked especially adorable.

Excellent stay, all the comforts!
My first time "glamping" instead of my usual remote adventures. Immediately impressed with the beautiful views, the group fire and picnic area and the easy navigation from parking area to tent (signs and well maintained path).
The clean and roomy tent sits on an elevated platform with a hammock and swing overlooking a stunning marsh vista, and a string of subtle lights that add a wonderful ambiance at night without taking away from the observation of the night sky.
They thought of all the things! A camp stove and water kettle to brew your morning coffee- local gourmet grounds from a nearby shop provided for your enjoyment; real coffee cups, a fan, welcome/guide book with helpful info, and a portable loo (with extra trash bags and TP). The mattress, bedding, and all the creature comforts are top notch.
This wonderful place made for some very Happy Campers, as we all met new friends around the fire at night and were kept company by the few farm animals just beyond the group area.
Thank you for a truly excellent, much needed escape to a beautiful outdoor home away from home!! ☀️🏕️💙
