B. Gravel Pit
Nice family space
We loved camping here! It was a nice private space with the plenty of area for our kids to explore. They absolutely loved looking for unique rocks and the host was gracious enough to bring a few fossils and share her knowledge with our children. They absolutely love her!

We really enjoyed our stay at B. Gravel Pit!
It was very quiet and secluded which we really enjoyed! It was close to I-90 and Wall.

B. Gravel Pit
Peaceful, open, quiet place in the cottonwoods. Even though it was high winds on the highway the camp spot had just a slight breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed the solitude and pleasant walkways!

An Exceptional Stay
Don't let the name "Gravel Pit" fool you! This Cheyenne River bottom land has a beautiful setting and views, starting from the riverside, up to the bluffs. The sun filtering through the cottonwoods accompanies the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The bonus is that you have a herd of beautiful cows and calves to talk to, along with birdsong, deer, and the evening coyote serenade. We even enjoyed listening to the rain and storm that rolled in, but the sandy soil, took care of any water that might have muddied out tent site. Do yourself a favor and grab a spot. We will be back whenever we can, as the owner was an excellent host.

An Enjoyable Ranch Stay
The name "Gravel Pit" might be offputting to some, but make no mistake, this Cheyenne river bottomland is beautiful! It's flat land, with copses of cottonwoods, native flowers and grasses that follow the river up to he handsome surrounding bluffs! The level, "gravelly" bases are perfect for tents or RV setups, and are soft enough to accept good purchase for tent pegs. The cows and calves are just a pleasant extra, with birdsong aplenty. Evening and morning views are at your pleasure. Bring your own water, but there is a composting toilet. No campfires, of course, but the views more than make up for and evening fire.
