THIS PROPERTY IS NOW CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE FOR CAMPING. PLEASE READ ALL ESPECIALLY REGARDING FIRES AND VHICLES PER SITE. Access height has been raised to 3.7meters. Pine Ridge has been developed over the years to be a natural park land with a good variety of local vegetation including stands of mature trees. lower scrub has been removed for physical and viewing access and to keep the property more secure and manageable. The vegetation also provides significant protection on windy days compared to many other open places. Native animals and birdlife abound the location. There is a community pergola area beside the substantial water hole which has a small jetty allowing easy access for swimming. There is also a stone barbecue and fire pit area available on suitable weather conditions. There are ocean views from the property's main road areas, which also provide a large area of flatish firm ground with large areas providing easy maneuverability and turning. The property is 2-3km from the main highway turn off that leads to the Douglas Apsley National Park. The corner of the property is only 50 meters from the park edge, with the Parks main access several km further along Rosedale Rd. The turn off is only 2 km from the town edge. It is sealed road except for the last 100meters and in good condition. FIRES. Ok unless a fire ban. GOOD BAGS OF WOOD ON SITE FOR $20. NO OUTSIDE WOOD CAN BE BROUGHT ONTO THE PROPERTY AND BURNT. I HAVE TRIED TO MAKE A MIDDLE GROUND ON THIS ISSUE BUT UNFORTUNATELY SOME HAVE ABUSED THE FAIR RULES SO THIS IS NOW THE SITUATION. NO FORAGING GROUND WOOD WITHOUT ASKING ME AND GETTING APPROVAL. VEHICLES PER SITE. SEVERAL VEHICLES ( VANS, CAMPERS ECT) MAY BE ON A SITE IS COMMON WITH FRIEND GROUPS, BUT EACH MUST BE BOOKED SEPARATELY OR DONE WITH PRIOR ARRANGEMENT DIRECTLY WITH ME.This is a large property with no specifically marked sites. You can park where it feels comfortable for you. On the main drive there are larger relatively flat areas on the right that are more favorable to larger units or multiple unit groups and easy access. These have a distant ocean view. On the left of the drive there are sites also suitable for vans etc., and a loop track that is signed that bleads towards the water hole area. There are sites for medium vans and tents and camper trailers. Park on the ridge road and have a look around and see where might be comfortable for you. There is a grassed area between the covered enclosure and the jetty I do not allow camping as its community space and sensitive to heavy traffic. A white tape is often on the ground as a general boundary marker for this area. I am available to help at any time at my house further along the access road if I am there. During summer months I am often at my jewellery shop in Bicheno between 9 and 4. The shop is Calm Ocean Jewellery in central Bicheno and you can see me there if need be. I will put a photo of the shop on this site.

Pine Ridge offers a spacious and tranquil camping experience, highly praised for its natural beauty and proximity to attractions like Bicheno and Douglas Apsley National Park. Guests appreciate the generous space between sites, the friendly host, and the opportunity to enjoy wildlife sightings and campfires. However, the presence of bull ants and dead branches has been noted as a concern for families with young children. Overall, visitors find it a peaceful retreat with ample room for exploration and relaxation.

Generous space, great location, very friendly host. No Telstra phone service onsite but didn’t have to go far down the road to get it if needed. Will definitely return! Thankyou

Trees need attention. A large branch nearly fell on my child. Too many dead branches. Also bull ants everywhere. Not for young children unfortunately.

Great camping destination
26 ft pop-up camper
This is our second time staying here and we love it. Timothy is a very friendly host. Sites are huge, and campers can have their own space. Fire pots and fire wood is available to buy too.

Wonderful large bush land location. The damn was refreshing to take a dip in and the kids had fun on it with their paddle board. Very close to Douglas Apsley National Park.
