Barbour Farms Camp sets on the hallowed grounds of the historic Ol' Ledford Farm. Our Great-Great grandparents, Jim and Mary Ledford, purchased this farm in the early 1870s. At an additional cost you may request a guided tour of: "A Day in the Life of Jim & Mary Ledford." See were the historic Montgomery Co. Griffey School once set on property. View Jim and Mary's Ol' house seat and drink from the artesian spring where they got their water in the 1870's. Jim and Mary were quite industrious, along with their seven children. Picture their mule drawn wagon, sawmill, sorghum mill, and grist mill. Once upon a time, their family provided these services and many others to the community. Camping Off The Grid

Craig is always nice and provides a little history of the farm. He provided the wood for our campfire and 5 gallons of water. The grandkids love going there especially if they bring their 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. We were able to hike and fish. It's always very quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend "Camping off the grid." Also since there is low light pollution the stars are very visible and the night sky is amazing.

Craig and his team are extremely friendly and accommodating! We had such a nice relaxing time here - in the afternoon and morning the cows and horses stopped by our campsite, which was great! Thanks Craig for providing space for a perfect getaway.

Camping Off The Grid

Great and secluded spot. The camp itself was clean and firewood, a portable toilet, and water was provided. There are some cattle and horses that roam the property freely and don’t seem to mind your presence at all. Host was communicative. This farm has some history to it so be sure to read the pamphlet that’s given. Super interesting.

Camping Off The Grid

This was the perfect camp site for our needs! The kids loved fishing, feeding the farm animals, and daily encounters with the horses and cows. We loved the privacy, the beautiful scenery, and open fire cooking! 10/10 recommend!
