Nice secluded camping area covered by trees with a small creek. We camped in the heat of summer, so the trees were very much welcomed. There was wood chopped for us to use, which was very awesome. There is a trailer up the hill from the primitive camp sites, for bathroom use. Bring your own water and pack out your trash. There is HWY 840 nearby. The traffic noise isn’t too bad considering. There is a dog nearby who likes to bark. Being dog people, that didn’t bother us. There is a big grass area for playing games. There is a table there, but bring your own chairs, which we usually do to sit around the campfire. The entrance to the campsite can be confusing, since it really isn’t marked. Make sure to follow the directions explicitly that are given to you concerning that. All in all it’s a very nice primitive camp site near Nashville that we used as base camp to go out and do things. I would use this place again.
