Sugarloafers is located on a portion of the old Ocoee Outdoors Zipline. It is nestled along the lower Ocoee river with great views of Sugarloaf and Big Frog Mountains. This is an excellent gateway to Parksville Lake and the Cherokee National Forest and all the activities it affords including whitewater rafting on the Hiwasee and Ocoee Rivers, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Lazy River Tubing, Fishing, and so much more! Our property is one of nine - 5 acre tracts along the river. As of Fall of 2022, one house has been built and it is on a lot adjacent to this one. So while this site is some distance from the house, it is currently within view. Within a mile from the end of the driveway there is: Food - Myrtles Cafe, a Subway Sandwich Shop and the Gondoler restaraunt. Whitewater Outfitters - Ocoee Outdoors, NOC Ocoee Outpost, ACE Ocoee Adventures Other - Rock Creek Oufitters Ocoee Store, Ocoee Express Gas Station and Convenience Store, Sugarloaf River Park and Parksville Dam and the entrance to the Cherokee National Forest! Dollar General - 4.2 miles back towards Cleveland (because someone forgot their phone charging cable). Middle Ocoee Private boater takeout is only a 10 minute drive! Note: Although the campsite is back from the highway, road noise can be an issue especially on the weekends. Highway 64 is one of three major roads in the county. Unfortunatley, tents don't block the sounds of Harleys racing down the road at 2 a.m. Consider bringing earplugs or muffs if you are a light sleeper.

Safe along the river.
We enjoyed camping on Brian’s land. As others mentioned, it was closer to the road and there were lights on all night from a business across the street. We slept well though. Right on the river, left us firewood, and we had a nice evening tent camping.

Beautiful piece of property! Brian had the site set up nicely, complete with picnic table, bench, hammocks, fire ring, and a shade umbrella. There was even a portajohn on site!

Quaint and Serene!
Love, love, love this spot!! It’s such a perfect little site right on the river, plenty of trees and shade, port-a-john, picnic table, grill and fire ring. There is traffic noise and plenty of bird and frog song to drown it out. Thank you Brian, if I’m back in the area you’re my spot!

Private, Dog Friendly Campground
Clean Campground and Porta Potty, Very private and has access to the river. Campground includes fire pit and hammocks already set up which was great!

Great place right on the river. Super quiet and off the beaten path. Brian was very responsive to any questions I had. I would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to anybody who likes their own space, without having to deal with an annoying neighbor camping right next to them!
