Site 1 - Big Rocks on the Brazos
Used my dog fence.
We had a wonderful time. The quit as awesome, just what we needed to recharge. My husband did some fishing and I did some reading.

Sites are too close but quiet place
Overall the place was ok. We were in site 4 and thankfully site 3 was vacant because it is way too close for our comfort. So maybe if you rent both sites together with a friend it would be ok. Otherwise, I wouldn’t stay there again. The grandkids enjoyed playing in the river and there were alot of birds around that we enjoyed seeing and listening to.

This is on a great part of the river. Our side was shallow and slow, but the opposite side was deep and faster flowing. We fished and paddle boarded. Very peaceful location. The RV connections were in great condition and the pad was nearly level. The huge old trees are beautiful and must be over 100 years old.

Great experience!
We camped with a family of 5 - and it did not disappoint! The site is very peaceful. And if you bump into the owners, they are super sweet! River is fun to tromp around in, and it's a pretty drive into Waco for a lot to do!

Everything about it was nice and peaceful with lots of room for our fur babies to run. We have a pretty tall 5th wheel and had to drive around a few low-hanging trees to get there and trim a few branches on our spot upon arrival, but our group had all four spots, which was great. River access for the campers was a little small but had easy access along with a fish cleaning station. We got to know the person renting the cabin next door and she was more than happy to let us use her river access as well, which was more open and cleared out. Becky was always super fast to respond to any questions we had, and her and her hubby were onsite if needed. Having the river access and being able to take our chairs/floats and sit in the river and let the kids play was awesome. The river is nice and clear and shallow (1-3 ft) on the shore side and deeper on the far side to kayak and fish. Although it wasn’t an issue for us, one thing I would mention is although we had full hookups, spots 1 and 2 share a 30 and a 50 amp. We were able to run everything we needed in our camper on the 30 since the weather was cooler and let our campmates in spot 2 use the 50 amp plug, but that may not work as well for some if you both plan on or need 50 amp. I’m not sure if that’s the case with spots 3 and 4 or if they EACH have a 30 and 50 amp. Either way, just good to know going in. We would definitely highly recommend. Thank you, Becky & Ricky, for sharing your beautiful property with us. 💕

Love this place!
This remains one of the best Hipcamp spots around, you can't convince me otherwise. It's quiet, peaceful, right on the river, has full utilities, and a great host. It's authentically Texas - big live oaks, rolling hills, smooth river, and friendly people.
