Camp Discovery is a 40 acre family-ran campground located about 70 miles northeast of Dallas, Texas. As you drive through the gates into our land you instantly feel transported to a place of peace. Our marked road leads you through juniper trees, wild deer (and sometimes boar), open land straight to your chic glamping tent. Take an easy hike through our land. Make a special dinner or have a picnic on our custom made farm tables. Book a private yoga class, soundbath session, cacao ceremony (depends on availability) on our suspended yoga deck.

Super cute space, perfect for children. Great amenities even though it's "off the grid". Lots of cute solar lights and the tent was well decorated. Will definitely come back and stay!

We loved Camp Discovery! We ended up taking our two German shepherds and they had a blast. Annette (the host) was so communicative. We enjoyed hiking, an evening fire, a morning hike and can’t wait to come back!

Camp Discovery was perfect
Camp Discovery was perfect. We went for the total eclipse and stayed in one of the yurts for just one night. Annette was super professional, hospitable, and communicated quickly. The yurt itself was nicely set up, the bed comfy, and they thought of everything with the supplies they had at the camp + in the individual yurts. The grounds had a couple of excellent short/easy hiking paths - and a beautiful open meadow next to it with tons of wildflowers. The only thing I'll mention for future campers is that there are sounds of wild animals at night and chirping/beeping noises from the electronic critter repellants - which didn't bother us, but if you're sensitive to that - maybe bring some earplugs for sleeping.

Peaceful and Serene!
My husband and I wanted to escape the hustle & bustle and enjoy some time in nature! Camp discovery offered that and so much more! A beautiful vast/open and lush space with a trail in the back of the property! It’s primitive camping which we are more than ok with and had done before! The hosts; Annette and Edder are absolutely wonderful! So helpful, accommodating and kind! Highly recommend this experience! You also have the options for add ons such as yoga, sound bath and more!

Charming and Beautiful Glamping!
Our stay at Camp Discovery was perfect! Charming and peaceful - but with all the amenities needed for a great glamping experience! Bed was comfortable, with plenty of bug prevention (screens, spray, citronella), and cute décor. The bathroom was clean and didn't feel like a primitive set up. Modern design!
