*** NEW LOW RATES FOR REMAINDER OF 2024 *** Nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intercoastal Waterway, Sargent Island, with its unique, water-front home sites, was created in the 1950s. A quiet community, we feel Sargent is an oasis away from the crowds and congestion of other beach-side communities. We love taking a break from our busy lives to listen to the waves roaring down the shore. We think you'll love it, too! Learn more about this land: This is a 8000 sq ft privately owned, ocean-side lot. Located on a barrier island in Sargent, TX, the site offers a neighborhood atmosphere, with a secluded, unobstructed beach view. There is an approximately 30x30 gravel pad and long driveway. This is an RV lot only. This property suits smaller to midsize RVs and most wheeled campers (but no ground tents--there is too much ground wildlife for safety, though elevated, vehicle-mounted tents are fine).  The property is still in development. We currently have electricity (110v, 30, 50 amp), water, but NO SEWER OR SEPTIC. You must bring your own toilet facilities with you and take the waste away. NOTE: Public Toilet facilities and trash available 1.5 miles away. If you're an introvert, dislike traffic or just like breathing room, you'll love quiet, crowd-free, Sargent beach. It's such a peaceful getaway!  ISLAND LIFE NOTE: This is the Texas Gulf Coast--we have mosquitos, and it's the state bird for a reason! Please bring SPRAY. This gorgeous, island property is vulnerable to the extreme weather conditions on the Texas Gulf Coast. It's a dynamic property, shifting and changing, depending on the weather--we try our best to maintain this property in a timely manner, but we can't control this Mother Nature factor! There may be times we cannot put up the shade canopy due to high winds, other aspects of the property may have shifted, there may not be a beach due to high tides, etc. Please ask questions and we'll communicate what's available at your booking time. Our strict cancellation policy encourages good communication at time of booking. The first access point is just about a tenth of a mile away!

Camp Nadur - Two thumbs up!
Our first Hipcamp experience was with hosts Kirk and Emily at their wonderful site in Sargent Beach. The directions were exact and easy to find. The site has water hookup and electricity and a level surface. You are overlooking the rolling waves of the Gulf of Mexico at the site and on the other side of the road into Camp Nadur is the Gulf Intercoastal Waterway with great fishing. We watched the dolphins and abundant bird population from a viewpoint almost out the front door! The nights without cloud cover, the Milky Way is clearly visible looking south. This might be a dark sky region. The area is very quiet with an amazing beach that seems to go on for miles just a walk or short drive further up the road that leads in. You can drive your vehicle on the beach sands. I was amazed at much beach and how few people were there. We went birding and shell collecting in the area. Just a short drive away is San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge with abundant wildlife including a healthy population of alligators! This is one of the best sites and areas we have ever camped at and we're already checking our schedule to figure out when we can return!

What I expected
It was what I was expecting. What you see in the pictures is what you get. A no frills place to park your rig with water and electric. Hookups are on the opposite side from normal if you back in but we parked all the way to the edge of the pad so our chord and hose reached with no problem. My only complaint was the grass should have been mowed. It was a sharp grass that was about 8 in. high that pokes bare legs so it was quite uncomfortable to walk around in flip flops.

Camp Nadur at Sargent Beach
Nice place! Clean and great access to beach, town and canal. Hook ups on the left side (as you’re looking in) puts in on the wrong side for trailer. You WILL NEED extra power cord and water hose (50 feet). Other than that a great experience.
