Everfree Shire Ranch is an 11 acre estate nestled between quiet country houses and a very active horse ranch next door to the east. Rescue horses are also kept on the property in rotation. Much of the camping here is still a work in progress! So for now, a very private economical choice for campers! The central building has indoor lodging available and the side bathroom with indoor toilet / washer / dryer may be used by campers as well. A new outdoor shower is 95% complete and usable but swimwear is required because we have not finished filling in the slots between the wood fence panels. The RV Dump station is also ready for use as well as the new outhouse! If you forgot to dump on the way out or need to before arriving, please use the free dump stations on I-35 near Natalia on either side of the highway.

Site 8: Elrond's Encampment 15Amp

--- I can't express enough how wonderful my experience was, largely thanks to our host, Mike. He truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant and rewarding. The campsite itself was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life—peacefully off the grid and surrounded by nature. What stood out the most was Mike's commitment to his guests. When I needed assistance getting to and from the campsite, he readily provided the lift I required, despite my lack of transportation. His kindness and willingness to help made all the difference. Most importantly, Mike made me feel incredibly welcome throughout my entire stay. His hospitality turned what could have been just another camping trip into a memorable experience. I highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a host who truly cares about his guests.

Site 8: Elrond's Encampment 15Amp

For the price I paid, much more than I expected. Michael he shows me restroom and I saw the laundry machine there I ask him if I can use it. He said I can use it, also he let me use his detergent and dryer sheet. I was so happy.

Site 10: Gimli's Gate 15Amp Water

Been great camping here and Mike is an excellent host. My kids love the horses and all the birds that frequent the location. I would recommend to anyone who's on a budget, definitely a cool place to camp!
