Find extreme solitude and unforgettable views of Guadalupe Peak at this desert escape next to Guadalupe Mountains National Park! This is choose-your-own-adventure camping. The terrain is rugged, and the dust and wind blow some nights. Once you're here, there are zero amenities (other than picnic tables). If this sounds fine — you don't mind roughing it — you'll be sleeping under the stars at the foot of West Texas' tallest mountain range. And who else can say they've done that? I really liked this place. Primitive camps are great if you come prepared. We hiked at Guadalupe National Park on Nov. 5, and this place is right down the road. The stars were great. I think we were at 40 degrees, and it gets windy out here sometimes, so we used our vehicle to block the wind. The way the camp is set on a hill gives a good view.

My friends and I loved the camp and the surrounding scenery. The remoteness was exactly what we were looking for, and it provided all aspects that we wanted. Thank you for letting us camp here.

Great camping spot
Absolutely loved the stay here for my 1 night, plenty of space and spots for tent. The skies were clear so I left the rainfly off the tent and the view of the stars was just amazing !

My 2 night stay here was awesome! I had a little trouble finding it but just read the direction instructions he sends carefully and you’ll make it there for sure! Definitely recommend, I like how you can make the camp sight to your liking! Will be staying here again if I’m ever back in the area.

Stay here when visiting Guadalupe M
Campground was absolutely fantastic and Wes was a great host! If you are hiking the Guadalupe mountains, and have a RTT stay here vs the NP!
