Thanks to all of you campers for my success, The Hideout is now totally electric. No more generator! Growing up I liked to camp and still do and I want to offer my land as a place for you to do the same. Accessibility is by bridge or make arrangements for your vehicle to be at the campsite. We have all the items you need for a successful camping experience. Throw your necessities in the back of the Kawasaki mule and enjoy a short ride to the hideout or drive to the campsite for a truly memorable campout. Geared towards camping with kids, you can take a short hike and see the grave of a Texas Ranger. Sit by a wood fire and enjoy smores. Swing in one of the two swings, play horseshoes, corn hole, and take a backroad trip and view local wildlife. For you fisherman, enjoy the newly stocked lake and catch some bass. Catch and release. Sit on the porch and rock in a rocker and read. Bogata Rodeo June 22-June 24. July 4, Talco 4th of July celebration. Big fireworks show. Much, much more.

Second Visit
This was my second visit and this time I was so excited to take my Dad to celebrate his recent Birthday and Father’s Day. He had the BEST time and LOVED this place just as much as me!!! The cabin is SO neat, the fishing is GREAT and the hosts are the NICEST!! Come check it out for yourself!!

Lovely Cabin Experience in Texas
Staying at this cabin was a lovely experience, and John and Larann were very kind and welcoming hosts. The cabin is well-appointed with everything you could need and more, and has many personal touches and details which make it a very cozy place to stay. It is even more beautiful than in the photos! We loved sitting on the screened-in porch, using the fire pit which included free firewood, sleeping in the comfy bed, and listening to the variety of birds singing morning and night. As travelers from Oregon visiting for the eclipse, it was the perfect place to stay and experience a slice of northeast Texas. Highly recommend for your next getaway!

Had a great couple of days , reconnecting with nature and just relaxing! The cabin was amazing so well equipped ,tons of firewood to keep the fire going. Can’t wait to return! Thanks John

Great little cabin
One of the best (glamping) cabins outside DFW. Heated by an amazing potbelly oven in winter with free firewood, our cabin was cozy enough we had to open the door. In the middle of woods on a small creek, the nearest neighbors were dead quiet. Fishing pond was 2 min walk through the woods and over the bridge, bring a real rod because those bass are hungry. A/C unit for summer, multiple cooking options, hot water, flushing toilet, and cell service just don’t tell the kids.
