High View at The Brazos River
Roof rack camping tent
I been planning for months for a camping trip experience like no other, this is camping wonderland lol, just note that there is no electricity & running water there is a restroom way at the top when you drive in. I was prepared with a 35 gallon water tank generator & shower with camping toilet the experience was awesome NOTE: it is best to come to this campsite with a truck or large SUV the road is not car friendly you risk the chance of damaging your car for sure I drove in with my f150 with a load of camping gear no problem that’s what trucks are for. The campsite offers no running water or electricity that’s what camping is all about just come prepared and you should be okay, Am already planning my next trip and July am coming back lol. You have access to all brazos river from any campground at Juan’s Land wonderful for kids and adults to enjoy the view and swim the water was extremely clean I was surprised to see that the river is made up of all sand yes Sand, almost feels like your at the beach ones you start walking in the river sand all over awesome.

Easy & Enjoyable
Juan was very quick to reply to our confirmation. We put in our reservation and Juan immediately communicated with us. The area was very clean, not a piece of trash in site. First come first serve. Come in, put your stuff down, enjoy a little time on the river.

We were happy to find a spot near the river during Memorial Day weekend. It was a mud fest at the beach area but imagine it’s awesome when it’s not so wet.

Camping on the Beach
We came in at night and were greeted by two really friendly horses. We brought our dog and spent 2 days lounging on the beach and playing in the river. Our crossover got stuck in the sand but Juan went above and beyond to make sure we got out. We had an amazing time and we plan to come back! This is a good spot to camp, fish, swim, and hike.

Camping 🏕 with animals!
Gorgeous spot with amazing views, with lots to do as well. Cool down in the ricer, climb up the mountain, float down the river, explore the sandy beaches! Very clean! Juan is also an amazing host. Will definitely be coming back. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

The campsites are well placed the river is right beside them. There’s an interstate highway very nearby, close enough that you can hear it at all times
