Host was wonderful and very accommodating. The covered outdoor area was very useful and had lots of extras. We booked the trail ride and enjoyed riding the horses down the San Gabriel. Only negative was that there is no foliage in the wintertime, which highlights some of the loose bits and bobs lying around. It’s a great spot for a rv stopover for a couple nights.

Sketchy Place. Random stuff everywhere and lots of trash. Doesn't look like pictures.

Great spot to enjoy the outdoors. We loved fishing in the river, walking along the bank and star gazing in the evening. Very peaceful, we booked the spot on the river but we ended up setting up at the Mother Tree. Also, our dogs enjoyed being off leash. Would definitely book again

Everything was as advertised. My boys and I had a spur-of-the-moment idea to go camping, but we didn't want to drive hours from Austin. Luckily this place was available!
At the Pasture Mingle site, you're pretty much literally camping in a pasture. I was able to drive right up beside our campsite and get everything set up without having to carry anything or use a wagon. The lazy side of me really loved this aspect.
We had the whole area to ourselves. Even though we were in an open field, there were no other people to be seen - just horses on the other side of the fence and a random rabbit. That was a huge plus, and I really appreciated the privacy. The other two campsites are in a different area of the property.
What else... it was quiet enough that we mostly just heard owls, crickets, and the wind overnight - but I was still able to get good 5G service. Win-win. There was a bathroom within walking distance. We paid for firewood and got it, so no complaints there either. The pasture also had a surprising amount of sticks laying around that we also burned later in the night.
If you want, you can take a longish walk (or drive then walk) to check out the river. If you do that you'll pass by the other campsites. We briefly checked it out, but were mostly happy to just stay in our area.
All in all it was just what we were looking for - a great night just hanging out by the fire under the stars.

Perfectly low key
32 ft travel trailer ·
What a great little place. I wanted something other than a typical KOA. It was low key, I had my privacy. Short walk down to the river….exactly what I was looking for. It was a motorcycle camping trip for me and was the perfect spot. And riding by their beautiful horses on the way out each morning was a major plus. I’ll definitely be back.
Thanks!
