David's campsite offers a peaceful retreat with its wide-open spaces and quiet atmosphere, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. The setting among young pecan trees provides a serene backdrop, with many campers noting the beauty of the sunsets and the clear night skies. While the site is a bit off the beaten path, guests appreciate the solitude and easy accessibility. A few campers mentioned minor inconveniences like goat heads in the grass, but overall, the site is well-maintained and provides a safe stopover for travelers.
This was pure rural awesomeness! David is a great host who greets you then leaves you to your peace. I loved seeing the cows in the adjacent pasture and there are a couple of friendly horses across the road who might come to the fence and say hello. I had a relaxing few days here and will come back next time I'm in the Abilene area.
Dave was a good host. He communicated well and was accommodating (I had a late check in). The site (and instant booking option) worked out great for me as I booked only a few hours before my arrival. All in all a very good camp.
David was super sweet and friendly! Very communicative and I found the site easy to find. He showed me around the farm and the animals—i had a lovely stay!
I loved tent camping on David's land. It was a nice quiet environment with great views.
