Awesome spot!
Beautiful spot, very quiet! We came in from the southeast and the drive from I-10 down into the valley was stunning! One word of advice: Read the description completely (I didn't). I figured I would have enough fuel to make it to Sheffield (I barely did) and that I could fill up at a station in town (there aren't any) haha. Sheffield Towing is friendly, but they get $34/gallon for diesel. Had I read James' description better, I would have topped up back at the 10 and saved myself the $84 I had to spend to get myself 20 miles up the road to Iraan to fill up. The spot, though, is awesome! I really wish it would have been clear so we could see stars!

Google maps took us directly to the campground. Instructions on 30 amp hookup were easy to follow. Nice quiet night at the site.

Camping West Tx
It’s not very far off of I 10 in a very laid back area. Flat lot with a nicely- marked breaker box. Very quiet location and nice for walking your dog. We will be continuing to use this handy spot.

Nice little place for a night
The site is as advertised. It's a small little camping area that's level with 30 amp power and a hose if you need water. You drive thru the town of Sheffield and a neighborhood that's seen better days. The site was easy to set up on and while we unhooked our TOAD, there was room to reconnect after we were set up. So we were all set for an easy departure in the morning. Looking out from the site is a nice view of the hills. There was a bad storm that went thru while we were there but got lucky as it passed just to the south. Got to see a rainbow afterwards and the storm broke the high humidity.
