Two acres nestled between cattle and hay fields. Yard full of kids activites like swings and slack lines, a great sunset view and trails in the woods. Fifteen miles from six bird sanctuaries in High Island, the Gulf of Mexico at Bolivar Peninsula and Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge. Town has restaurants and a grocery store.Pitch your tent in our yard and watch the sunset from the porch, fire ring, or swings under the pecan trees. The property is partially wooded with blackberries, mulberries, muscadine, and pecan trees. 7 m travel trailer
Erin was a very sweet host and we were her first hipcampers. She let us choose anywhere on the property to set up. It is mostly a grassy lot with some lovely mature shade trees, especially behind her house, but as it had been raining hard recently the soil was pretty soft. So we opted to park our 23ft travel trailer in the front where there is a hard gravel pad as we did not want to get stuck! A great spot and convenient for birders going to High Island or Anahuac Wildlife Refuge. Lots of spots which would be nice for a tent or small RV (especially in drier weather) but big rigs may find turning space limited.
