Dark Sky Paradise for cheap!
This is the best spot for tent camping and small campers near Terlingua for a great price. Wifi worked perfectly for my remote job. Cheap firewood available on site with crazy views of the night sky and close to both Lajitas and Terlingua. There’s a solar powered pterodactyl, clean bathrooms, grill, stakes, tools, and sink at each spot, showers, power, water, etc. This might be the coolest Hipcamp I have stayed at bang for buck wise! Will definitely be back!

Beautiful, peaceful spot. Sites and bathhouse are well-developed. Leveling was easy. Short hike to mesa with great views. Close to charming town of Terlingua.

Camping with views
We brought our mini toy hauler to David’s place & we could not have found a better place. The whole camp was very well taken care of. The facilities were clean & well kept. The campsites were roomy with thoughtful amenities; a wood stove, a grill, large nice stumps for sitting around the campfire. The drive was only 15-ish minutes from Ghost Town & 40ish minutes to Big Bend NP. The views were incredible! The sunrises each morning couldn’t be beat. This will be our new spot for our Big Bend getaways!

Such a quiet well kept camp site. Easy drive into town and the park. Seeing the sun rise over the mountains in big bend each morning was amazing.

Best car camping spot we’ve ever been to! Such a beautiful location and you can tell a lot of thought and care was put into making this spot comfortable and enjoyable. Everything you could need- nice bathroom, personal charging station, sink with running water and fire pit. The sunset and sunrise were incredible. I would recommend this spot to friends and family and will definitely book a spot here next time.

Site 3 - Bus Stop Campground
The owner seemed nice and the communication was fine, but the site is not very private, and it's not good for tents. I'm sure if you had an RV it would have been great, but you're putting you tent down on gravel and literally 20 - 30 feet from other people. The photos are misleading and only show sites from the edge of the area so you can't see how close everyone is. We ended up actually booking another site when we arrived because we were so disappointed and luckily found a great place nearby that was really secluded.
