This place had clean bathrooms, hot showers and courteous neighbors … much better than any campground in the national park. Add to this the proximity to the local restaurants and I don’t know why anyone would want to stay anywhere else. Thank you for having us.

Fantastic hosts. Property was perfect for accessing the park. We landed at 4:30. Got trail recommendations from our host. Hiked Santa Elena. Came back to set up camp with wonderful neighbors. Showered in a great bathhouse. Washed dishes in a great outdoor kitchen sink. Had a relaxing breakfast. Packed up and saw the window hike in Chisos basin and headed home. Can’t wait to come back. Much better accommodations than what I witnessed in the park.

Retief Not only has a wonderful place to stay with a great bath house, Showers, Very clean bathrooms with actual toilets, & a wonderful sink for washing dishes, He is restoring the land with planting of trees and overall care of the property. It is probably one of the best Hipcamp we’ve ever been to so thank you Retief

There are private showers with hot water. Bathrooms have plumbing. We booked this place at the end of our trip knowing we’d want a shower by this point. The site was far enough off the road so traffic wasn’t too noisy. The sites are really close together. That was the only downside. And no garbage bins

This has to be one of the best Hipcamps we’ve ever stayed at. Our site had power, water and a covered pavilion which made it feel like a bit of home. The central bath house was immaculate. It was cleaned daily and was spotless. Location couldn’t have been better being just minutes from the Big Bend National Park entrance and close to shopping and food in Terlingua. Communications before our trip and while there with the host was fabulous. Anyone needing a campsite in this area shouldn’t hesitate staying here!!

Lovely site, excellent facilities! Beautiful, hot waterfall shower almost brought me to tears 🥲 appreciate Retief’s hospitality and would totally come stay again, hope all goes well!
