Desert Moon Tent Camping
Dirty showers + Loose dog
The actual campsites were a good size and convenient to get to, however the shower had TONS of spiders inside of it and the door does not lock closed, so if you don’t have someone to watch the door for you, you may get walked in on. We brought our dog and were happy that it was required for dogs to stay on leash, only to have a dog that lives on the property run up on our dog on our campsite. He also ran through the other campsites relieving himself quite close to tents and people’s things.

The only good thing was the shower, as long as you're not afraid of spiders, and the painting in the bathroom. Very little shade and the poor fruit and nut trees overgrown with weeds, as well as ants. Very rundown, sorry to say

Desert Moon Tent Camping
The campsite does not look like the pictures shown on Hipcamp. Honestly the location was a junk yard. There was a bus, RVs, and trailer homes all around the property. In addition the site said you couldn’t check in after 9 but two cars came after 11pm which caused more noise than the train. The pictures promised so much but did not live up the actual amenities of the location. With such a drastic misrepresentation of the camp ground, I really did not feel safe staying there.

Nice place to stay the evening! Easy to find, restrooms were clean and convenient. We were personally not prepared for the wind/dust that evening, but that had nothing to do with the site.

Great little spot and fantastic location. Felt comfortable sleeping there, people respected the quiet times and gave us quick access to Arches NP!
Desert Moon Tent Camping
It was nice that there were only 5 sites so there wasn’t a bunch of people, and the bathroom and showers were convenient. The running water was very nice too. However, there was virtually no shade, just a few small trees here and there. There was also random buses and campers that had people living in them close to the tent campground. The whole town was sketchy. Personally, I don’t think it was worth the money. We would’ve rather stayed somewhere with shade and in a less sketchy town. Never talked to a host or anyone. I don’t think we will be returning. It was a very hot couple of days.
