The perfect way to escape the heat of summer, and the crowds of Zion National Park. Kolob Campground, Kolob Terrace Road, and Kolob Reservoir is a quiet location nestled between the main canyons of Zion National Park and the remote Kolob Finger Canyons Complex at Zion National Park. With quick access to West Rim Trail, Subway Canyon, Hop Valley Trail, and Wildcat Canyon Trail, this area of Greater Zion is not to be missed.   Located in a private gated area on the shores of Kolob Reservoir, Kolob Campground is the premiere location for camping on Kolob Mountain in the Greater Zion National Park area.  Kolob Campground is located adjacent to the Kolob Reservoir boat ramp and dock, including four acres of private shoreline. Just a few feet from the paved road, nestled in tall aspen, oak, and pine trees.  Access to potable water is available adjacent to camp, and public restrooms (vault toilets) are only a short walk from camp. WiFi access is available nearby at Kolob Adventure Rentals/Adventure Beach (3 minute walk). WiFi location and password provided by host upon request. This is an exclusive benefit available to our guests, and the only WiFi available to campers in the area. Canoe, kayak and SUP rentals, snacks and beverages are also located nearby.  LP(propane) fires are allowed and LP fire bowls can be provided through the camp host. LP fuel is also available for purchase. Wood burning, charcoal, and smoking currently not allowed due to area restriction.

Site 2 Large Site Tent / Lg RV
Solid 4 stars for Kolob campground!
This was a beautiful area. The drive leading to Kolob went through a portion of Zion Nat’l park and was amazing to see with the different rock formations and mountains. The campsites were a 2-3 minute walk to the lake. The camp staff was great. Especially Norm who came around consistently making sure everyone was ok and was always ready to help in any way needed. Norm actually became one of our buddies and hung out with us around the fire for some great conversation and grub when he wasn't as busy. Fishing seemed to be not so easy. One of our guys caught a 17” trout from the shore before we packed up but everyone else I spoke to over the two days we were there weren’t having much luck wether from land or kayak. In the evenings, the night sky was breathtakingly gorgeous! There is only one negative that I must mention and that is that this place was very dusty. Even when you’re careful moving around your feet, shoes, tents, cars, everything got pretty dusty. It didn’t stop us from enjoying our time there though, but it was enough for me to consider 4 above average stars instead of 5. Just something to keep in mind. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Site 9 Large Site Tent or RV
Great place to camp. I was pulling a 28' travel trailer. There was a sharp turn at the bottom end of the campground I had to make to get to site 9. It was very tight and not easy to make. Be aware if you're pulling a trailer in there.

Site 2 Large Site Tent / Lg RV
Fishing slow, camping phenomenal
The camp host was great. He came over and welcomed us to the spot. The camping spot was a large rv site with adequate room for multiple vehicles. The trail is right next to the campsite that go directly down to the reservoir edge. A very short three minute walk. The site included a picnic table and large trash can. I would highly recommend the site.

Site 5 Tent or Camper Van
John and the 2 camp hosts that we spoke with were amazing. We arrived and noticed a larger site unoccupied. We contacted John and he was able to switch our sites, no problem at all. We had also arrived a day late due to a flat tire and seen that our pre ordered firewood had been taken. The camp host quickly remedied that and added on an extra bundle. Both hosts came around multiple times to check in and make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. I will definitely book again in the future.
