This campground was easy to find and has plenty of space to spread out. It was fairly quiet and has a great view. The outdoor shower was a huge plus! There is not much shade so bring a canopy if you want to sit outside while the sun is still out. The campgrounds are a work in progress and I see so much potential here!

Lights in our eyes
Sites aren't well marked. This led to another camper walking into our camp around 9:45pm, waking us up with a flashlight in our eyes, to ask where is Site 5. Must be on the other side, we replied. Went back to sleep. About 45 minutes later, the camp post did a similar thing, creeped into our camp with a flashlight in our eyes, waking us up. He asked if our car was stuck. Clearly it was not; there is no way for a car to get stuck on hard pack, covered with a half inch bit of soft dirt. There was no water in the creek save for a small spot with stagnant water, so they were plenty of mosquitoes. We planned for that with bug spray, but wanted to mention that and the red ants everywhere. There is a road nearby so make sure you orient your sleeping direction away from the road or you will have headlights coming through your eyelids all night. Otherwise, it was calm and peaceful.

The campsite was so cute and well kept. I was looking forward to it being next to the creek, but there was no water in the creek at the time we were there. The site is close to the bathroom and the shower. This campground is close to everything. You’re close to the town of LaVerkin and hurricane and close to the entrance of Zion national Park.

Brights lights in our eyes
We were car camping and were awakened twice with bright lights in our eyes. The first was a camper who couldn’t find his site, so he walked right through the middle of ours, shining his flashlight inside our vehicle. He claimed he was looking for site 5, but our section was only 1-3. Then, about 45 minutes later, bright lights in our eyes again. This time it was the owner. ? He complained about us being in the middle of the road, but I had received a text confirming that ours was the only site back there. He said we were OK and didn’t need to move. So, WTF? The recommendation I would make is to label the sites more clearly. It was pretty dark, which might explain the confusion, but that would mean it’s all the more important.

Welcome to Utah! I am so happy I chose to stay here and an easy commute to Zion National Park. I would definitely camp here again. 😊

Loved camping here!!
My husband and I planned on staying at Kolob Gate Gardens for only a couple of nights, but ended up staying all six nights of our trip to Utah because we liked it so much! Site 4 had lots of shade which helped with the hot days. We were able to cook everyday on the stove that was available, and it was so nice to have pots and pans there! Nicole was so responsive and Steve who was there on site was really attentive and went out of his way to make sure our stay was comfortable. The photos here don't do it justice...the river is so lovely and the sites are well spaced out and give much more privacy than if you were in a campsite in the park. The portapotty was super clean and the shower felt great on a hot day. A nice bio degradable soap was provided and it even has a little skylight so you can see the sky. I've read other reviews here, and yes, the space could use improvements but its a work in progress and I think if you're looking for a quiet place to camp that is convenient and has all the basic amenities you need for camping (not glamping haha), this is it!! We loved it!
