This Outpost and campground is located on 300 acres of private property surrounded by park and public land. It has been here for over 30 years in some form or another. We are Caleb & Amber who enjoyed managing this little oasis in the middle of the desert from March to June of 2017 when we decided to purchase the business & make it our own. This is a dry, rugged campground with a bathhouse that provides coin operated showers and flush toilets. In addition there is little old rustic camp store placed in the middle of nowhere where we provide fuel, snacks, firewood, ice, showers, cold drinks & more. If you are looking for a more private site with lots of space and shade, book our Small Group at the Rocks. For a warmer stay during the cooler months book one of our Glamping Tents listed. We have the larger, and spacious tent in the grove of the Juniper Trees (which is also amazing in the warmer season) and rent a heater from us inside the general/camp store. BE SURE TO GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO CHECK IN NO LATER THAN 5PM. THANK YOU!! DON'T FORGET TO TAKE A SCREEN SHOT OF THE DIRECTIONS HERE, YOU WILL LOSE SERVICE ON YOUR WAY.

Small Group Site at the Rocks
Great site for exploring
Great site. We rented the group site for extra space. Beautiful place with fun places to explore/climb right in camp. Very comfortable, quiet, and well maintained campsites!

5PM checkin +climbing on cool rocks
CHECK IN IS 5PM!! ~an 1.5 hours away from moab which is where the main entrance of canyon lands is, 5 minutes away from the needles entrance of canyonlands! felt really private and remote, was very cool to climb on the rocks and watch the sunset! no service but wifi at the store! would recommend as it was really nice to get away from the moab crowds. amber was really nice :)

This camp is right outside of the park boundary which is perfect! There were bathroom and showers available. You could also explore the surrounding area and see great sunsets from this spot.

Good experience here!
It was amazing to be in what seemed like remote wilderness of Canyonlands to see the sunset and rise in such an amazing environment. It is also fantastic to have that type of experience 1 mile away from the park. During our entire 2-week trip in Utah to see all five national parks, We were able to get into canyonlands (needles) earliest in the day, avoiding the heat during hikes because of the close proximity. It was fantastic. Hosts are welcoming and kind.

Amber, the host is very friendly and helpful. The old fashioned gas pumps do work! The sites near the rocks provide morning shade and the views are stunning. It’s very close to Canyonlands National Park which we enjoyed more than Arches National Park. It was much less crowded and equally as beautiful. We will definitely be going back soon.

My family and I really enjoyed romping around the sandstone rock formation surrounding this campsite. Also, the ravens were hilarious...and mischievous (though harmless). If you visit, don't leave ANYTHING out or they will come investigate.
