Our property is located on a hillside above the White River in beautiful South Royalton, VT. The town center is a quick 5 minute drive away with shops and restaurants. Bingham Road is a deadend dirt road with friendly neighbors and lots of dogs and wildlife to enjoy. Also on the property is our small home, vegetable garden and orchard, and many walking trails through the woods. There is only one campsite on the property which has privacy from the main house. There is a small, spring-fed pond for the adventurous, lots of hammocks, wild berries galore in August, and beautiful fall foliage.Take a 3 minute stroll down a gravel path from the driveway to find this three-side a-frame snuggled in the woods. The structure is 12 feet wide by 16 feet long and is open on the front. The interior is clear for you to set up your camp exactly how you would like it. This site also has a flat ground spot that is 12 feet wide by 16 inches long where you could set up a tent. There is a picnic table, a hammock, a fire pit, and some firewood around for you to start a campfire. The campsite has an outhouse that is a simple pit toilet with sawdust and lye. There is a handwashing station and we provide a few gallons of water for you to use at the campsite. There is no electricity or running water at the campsite. There are some solar lights and a propane lantern. Please bring your own propane. We also ask that you carry in and carry out all trash and recycling. Please leave this beautiful little place as you found it! The campsite is down a 100 yard gravel path. If you have a four wheel drive vehicle and conditions are dry, you can drive to the campsite. Otherwise, be ready to park in the driveway and walk to the campsite. It's a beautiful walk but it is down a hill. The a-frame also has steps, so this is not an accessible site. This is a lovely, serene place, where you will have privacy and enjoy the outdoors. You will be able to hear neighbors and other signs of humanity, though! The property is dog friendly, which means there may be dogs around that are not yours as well. Please only bring friendly dogs that will like to see other new dogs who may wander through. There is a small spring-fed pond on the property that you are free to use, It is in front of the house so you will be in full view. No children allowed unsupervised in or near on the pond for everyone's safety.

This A frame campsite was so perfect for our Vermont camping trip. Everything was so clean and well maintained. Even though it rained, the a frame kept up covered all night long. Deirdre was super accommodating and welcoming. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Super Adorable Campsite!
Tent
Deirdre and Todd were very welcoming, and gave us super helpful directions to getting all set up and settled. The campsite was lovely, with enough room to drive up and enough room in the A-frame for our 2 person tent. Will definitely be returning and recommending Deidre’s spot to friends!!

Amazing!
Tent
Deirdre and Todd were awesome hosts, very communicative, and gave clear directions to the a-frame. And the a-frame/land were beautiful. We already wish we would have booked a longer trip. Perfect spot in a perfect location! Thanks for hosting us!!
