4br - 1850ft2 - Remote Central Vermont Cabin (556 Kennedy Road Granville, VT 05747) Hikers and Mountain Bikers paradise!! 1850 sq ft. remote cabin off the grid on 5 acres that back up to the National Forest. Access is up a rough steep class 4 road for ¾ of a mile. This is a hike or mountain bike to only unless you have a 4-wheel drive low vehicle with high road clearance or an ATV. The host will transport supplies for your visit, but insurance does not allow for taxi service to and from the cabin. There is plenty of parking at the bottom of the road. The hike or bike up passes 7 waterfalls and lots of undeveloped woods. This lodge is built for comfort with 4 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. It has gas appliances (refrigerator, cook stove, and hot water heater), a gravity fed spring, gas yodel stove and a wood stove for heat, and a generator for electricity. There is a large open living space downstairs with plenty of room to relax. A wrap around deck provides spectacular views of The East Ridge mountains in Granville, Vermont. This space is for people who want to get away from it all. One bedroom downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs. (private deck off second story master bedroom)The site is on 5 acres that back up to the national forest. There is a large open yard for children to play and dogs to run. There is a firepit and plenty of forewood. There are mt bike and hiking trails that go for miles above the property. The 1850 sq ft cabin has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large open living space and a large wrap around deck.
What to expect

6 guests max
Campfires allowed
Firewood provided, firepit. There is firewood on the porch and deck. You can get extra firewood from the wood shed that is on the property. Fires are permitted except during a dry period when it would be dangerous to have a fire outside. This is normally during August and I will follow the guidelines of the state. There is a wood burning stove in the cabin for cool nights
Toilet available
Flush toilet. The septic system is sensitive so please avoid flushing feminine products or wipes. They should be thrown in the trash or in the outhouse that is on the property
Pets allowed
Off leash, on leash. There is a limit of 2 dogs and they can be off leash on the 5 acres that I own but if your dogs tend to wander, please keep them on leash. There are deer and other animals that dogs might tend to chase. So use your own judgement.
Showers available
Hot water , cold water only
