What a lovely place to be snowed in
February 28-March 2, 2025. This was our home away from home. The cabin is adorable! The kitchen is equipped with the basics - my only complaint was we’d planned meals based on using the toaster oven, which is no longer there! There is a hot pot.
The loft is cozy, with plenty of space to put air mattresses and/or other bedding. It’s carpeted, has electrical outlets and a small window for ventilation.
The living area includes a cot/couch, a space heater and a very efficient wood stove. We learned the first night that after warming up the cabin only one log is needed to keep the cabin at a perfect temperature.
There are shelves with games, batteries, bandaids and lanterns. Another closet contains cleaning supplies.
For warmer weather, there is running water, including a shower.
The privy was clean and tidy and set just far enough away.
Although off a main road, we felt as though we were in a very secluded and private spot.
The falling snow Friday and Saturday nights just added to the magical charm of our stay.
Thank you, Susanna for sharing Pine Cone Cabin!
