It all started on a first date in Boston....Nick had to excuse himself to take a phone call. His cow had fled its pasture. Much to Tara's surprise in that moment, this man she had just met was finishing his engineering degree at Northeastern, but was simultaneously building a homestead in Vermont. Fast forward 7 years, and here we are, building the life we only dreamed of. We yearned for simplicity. Deeper connections to our surroundings and mother nature. A calmer sense of place. The satisfaction that comes from growing food. Creating with our hands. We're a working farm and homestead. Every day at Quarry Brook is a new adventure, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re incredibly excited to share our little corner of southern Vermont and what we’re up to with you!

Camp at Quarry Brook

Beautiful, peaceful spot only about a half mile hike to the quarry for swimming. Overall the area was perfectly shaded and secluded, the only thing we heard was the occasional dog barking. Potable water and firewood were provided when I got there which was really nice. Definitely will plan another stay in the future.

Camp at Quarry Brook

Really awesome private campsite tucked away from the rest of the property. Very simple, easygoing check in and we greatly appreciated there being firewood and a large container of water at the site when we arrived. Perfect, simple campsite, would recommend.

Camp at Quarry Brook

Great little spot to go tenting. We easily got three tents in the camping spot and enjoyed the hike to the quarry and even did some fishing there. Wood and water was provided and even though you have to make a small walk to the site from your parked car it is worth it! Very private and we enjoyed the location.

Geodesic Dome at Quarry Brook

Private but lacked communication

We enjoyed the location but were disappointed in the lack of communication. We had requested the add ons and did not receive a response until after the weekend had occurred. This was also true for a second question that was also not answered prior to our stay. We were happy chairs were provided and enjoyed the hike to the quarry. Additionally there was lack of instructions, the fan was on at arrival so we assumed that it was used to vent. We built a fire and upon going to sleep woke up freezing. We later determined with the fan off it was indeed toasty, but were thoroughly disappointed this was at the expense of our comfort the first night. Lastly we had expected to be able to see through the skylight like sleeping under the stars, however it was not clear and you could not see out at all. The window on the side had a great view which we enjoyed.

I loved camping here! Beautiful land and perfect amount of privacy to hammock/tent camp. Access to hike the land down to the quarry was such a cool experience. Would camp here again.

Peaceful and Convenient

These guys were really nice and accommodating, and the camp site was perfect for what I was looking for - peaceful and close to many things in a beautiful part of Vermont. Thank you!
