“Yurt So Good” is just minutes to amazing hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, breweries & more in the NEK! On 40 private acres, you'll be within minutes to Jay Peak Resort, several nearby small towns for food, drink & shopping, or 90 min to Burlington or Montreal. Year-round glamping at its best with a hot water shower, toilet, kitchen & hot tub! Use our yurt as home base to explore the area & return to roast marshmallows, listen to our resident owls & watch for shooting stars in the black sky."Yurt So Good" is located on a town maintained dirt road, nearly a mile off the main road. You will not be able to see the neighbors and across the road from the yurt is a hay field, that is worked in season. You'll have a partial view of the road depending on time of the year. Several old apple trees are on the front lawn and line the long driveway. Next to the yurt you may see and hear our goats! The yurt faces East so if you’re an early riser, expect to see some beautiful sunrises while enjoying your coffee on the porch. You will be about 5-8 minutes from 4 country stores for gas and provisions. A large grocery store is 10 miles away. You will be 13 miles from the base of Jay Peak Resort and 9 miles from Main Street, Newport. Several wonderful restaurants all within 10-40 minutes away, farmers markets, sugaring shacks, breweries, museums, hiking, skiing, kayaking, and VAST trails are all nearby in the Northeast Kingdom- our very special part of Vermont. Equipped with a full bathroom, kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven & gas range, drip coffee pot AND keurig, dish-ware, and cookware, all you need to bring is your food & drinks! All linens & pillows are provided for the 3 beds. The luxurious kind bed has a beautiful velvet quilt and 4 king size pillows. Two twin beds are located in the loft. Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, towels for the hot tub & kitchen towels are all provided too! Just pack your clothes & get on your way to Yurt So Good!
