Only 10 minutes away from the Western Freeway you'll find the Lerderderg Lookout hidden at the base of the Lerderderg State Park. The property was titled in the 1970's and played host to horses and cattle over the early years before being rehabilitated and now being covered in a mixture of grass pastures and native bush. The property continues to be a sanctuary to native wildlife and is maintained to an ongoing excellent standard. Walking and bike riding tracks are less than 5mins away as the property sits at the base of the Lerderderg State Park.At less than 10 minutes from the Western Freeway and closest supermarket you will find your camping destination. On arrival you will see a roadside paddock less than 500m from the Lerderderg State Park and its phenomenal hiking and mountain bike trails. 2 Dams paddock has ample area for multiple campers and plays host to local wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and more! Walking into site is required but it is less than 50m to a prime position. Terrain is flat and trees will hide your view from the road.

Two Dam Paddock is a tranquil camping destination that offers a peaceful escape into nature, with well-spaced campsites providing privacy and serenity. The presence of wildlife such as kangaroos and birds adds to the charm, and the two dams on the property enhance the scenic atmosphere. While most reviews highlight the clean facilities and the relaxing environment, some campers noted issues with the maintenance of the portable toilet. Despite this, the location remains a popular choice for campers seeking a quiet getaway close to hiking trails and natural beauty.

Easy to locate, super quiet and spacious. Lots of gorgeous birds and kangaroos around! Very short drive to Lerderderg State Park or to Darley/Bacchus Marsh for supplies. Recommended.

We recently spent two nights camping at Two Dam Paddock, and it was a fantastic experience! The location is peaceful and beautifully maintained, offering a great escape into nature. The campsites are well-spaced, providing plenty of privacy, and the surroundings are perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The two dams add to the charm of the place, making it a great spot for those who enjoy a scenic and serene atmosphere. Whether you’re sitting by the fire under the stars or exploring the property, there’s plenty to enjoy. Overall, Two Dam Paddock is an excellent spot for a quiet getaway, and we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great camping experience.

Good site overall. Good pricing.

The positives: Nice quiet place to spend a few days, good prices. The campsites themselves are good with trees that provide a decent amount of shade on most sites. Fire are allowed which I always enjoy, good walking tracks nearby, and close to town even tho you wouldn't notice. The down sides : the portable toilet hasn't seen any maintenance for a considerable amount of time, based on the condition it was in. The very last site on the southern end away from the larger dam, has a resident fox that has no fear of people ( obviously being fed by people) and constantly harrases your camp for scraps at night. (Not good if you have small children or pets).
