A 4WD vehicle is required to access the site. While the access is generally easy, a 2WD may have difficulty leaving the property in wet/slippery conditions. The 80-acre semi-rural property is a paradise for nature lovers, featuring expansive bushland rich in native vegetation and wildlife. It offers a peaceful retreat, highlighted by a stunning spring-fed dam, which serves as a serene oasis for relaxation and recreation. The diverse ecosystem supports a variety of flora and fauna, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts seeking an escape from city life. Conveniently located near numerous wineries, the property is also close to the charming Yarra Valley towns of Gembrook, Yarra Junction, and Warburton, each with its own unique appeal. Traveling to Tranquil Waters Campground can be a bit tricky, so please refer to the provided photos and map for directions; the property is situated near the corner of Jameson Road and Thonemans Road in Hoddles Creek - see photo for details. The area boasts beautiful walking tracks in Kurth Kiln National Park, just a few kilometers away. If you're interested in fruit picking, Rayner Orchard at 60 Schoolhouse Road, Woori Yallock, is a great destination. For brunch or lunch, don’t miss the Gladysdale Bakehouse or Carrige Cafe in Seville. Alternatively, you can simply relax and enjoy the tranquility! Fishing enthusiasts may be lucky enough to catch a Murray Cod in the dam, or even see the resident Platypus. Please note: Avoid camping near or directly under trees; instead, set up in open areas for safety.Guests will have their own undesignated area, but please be aware that other campers may also be on the property at the same time. We strongly advise against setting up camp under any trees. There is one drop toilet available for all campers, so please bring your own toilet paper and ensure it is cleaned after your stay. We have provided lime that can be added to the toilet after use. A 4WD vehicle is required to access the site. While the access is generally easy, a 2WD may have difficulty leaving the property in wet conditions.

It was definitely a very peaceful site. There were only two other campers when we were there. Plenty of firewood around. It is somewhat remote, so suitable for those who looking to be by themselves. Not too far from Melbourne.

Secluded delight! Jon was very welcoming when we arrived as he was delivering some freshly cut wood for our group. The camp zones are spaced nicely so that even though there are others around, you feel like you are there on your own. Definitely would recommend a visit if you're looking for a nice escape from the city without having to drive a little more than an hour to get there.

We had a really lovely stay here. It’s very peaceful and full of greenery and birds. There were a few other respectful campers but there is so much space that we felt quite secluded in our spot - which we loved! Am confused by reviews saying they couldn’t find the water as it’s very easy - just look for where the land slopes down into the valley and there’s a gate you can walk through. We had a great time using the paddle boat. Highly highly recommend. Phone reception isn’t strong but that’s kinda the point!
