100 Acres of forested land in the Draper, Virginia area with scattered clearings that are connected by various roads/trails throughout. Over the years cutting roads has been a hobby that has resulted in miles of cleared pathways throughout the property that are perfect for hiking, running, cycling, and horseback riding. The property includes a small stream, several ravines, ridge lines and trails to explore. We frequently encounter deer, and see the occasional turkey, black bear, and Bigfoot. The thing people seem to enjoy most is the privacy and and quiet that allows you to connect with nature with no one else around. Things to watch out for other than the wildlife mentioned above the two main concerns in this part of Virginia are deer ticks and poison ivy. We are located about 5 minutes from I-81 or 15 minutes from I-77 making it an easy place to stop when passing through on your way to other adventures. Nearby attractions include Appalachian Gem and Gold Mine (5 min), New River Trail State Park (10 min), Claytor Lake State Park (20 min) and the Town of Draper has a couple small town shops to explore including The Draper Mercantile and Trading Company and the newly opened Conery. We love hosting campers and are happy to help make accommodations to help you have an enjoyable stay. We have 3 sites but only allow 2 to be in use at a time on the property. This insures that all guests continue to feel complete privacy from others and allows us to always have an alternate site available if campers want to change. Available "Extras" include portable toilet setup, Woodshop class making a cutting board, big foot siting's as well as various camping gear items. If there are other extra's you would like to see or something you forgot to bring please let us know and we will see what we can do.

Easter Egg Meadow Campsite
Great spot!
Left a review about both sites on Up on top. We stayed at both and loved both. This site is more great and gives more of a deep in the woods feel compared to the open and spacious up on top. It was fun to try both in one weekend!

Beautiful spot and wonderful host 😎
Camping at David’s place was such an amazing experience. He is so friendly and willing to share his beautiful property with guests. Everything was beautiful, we stayed at both the Up on top campsite as well as Easter egg meadow. He provided us with firewood and was great at communicating with us to make sure we never needed anything. It was secluded and private, but when we would run in to David walking around his roads (very beautifully maintained) he was more than willing to share all his knowledge and secret spots with us. Such a Great stay and we can’t wait to go back!

I had an absolutely amazing time camping here! The hosts were so kind and provided us with water and even a golf cart tour of their land! Absolutely beautiful view with hiking right on the land.

Up On Top Campsite
Outstanding
This campsite was perfection. The host was great, it was easy to find, it was really great to have water and wood. I had worried about the hill .. until I saw/drove it. Getting up top was no big deal at all. Beautiful view, not buggy at all in September. The property is very well maintained, with plenty of trails, I roamed over 4 miles and still didn’t see everything. Views are spectacular, everything is good here.

Host was very responsive and accommodating. He left a water jug and a pile of wood for a fire at the campsite before I got there. Directions to campsite were spot on and easy to navigate. The map was also helpful when hiking around! Very well maintained site and trails. My dog and I enjoyed camping here. Would recommend if you are looking to get away and enjoy nature!
