Site 2 - The Meadows at Chigger Creek
Not like the pictures
Definitely not like the pictures, we pulled in super sketch and junk in the entrance, once we pull in there is a lake but all the "sites" are just a spot of land and all spots are super close to one another. Very not private, dog on premises and super in your space. She did refund my dinner money though which is the owner cooking your meal on the picnic table. Drove 3hrs for this spot and drove all the way back home after the disappointment. Was also aggressive on the directions, my gps worked fine on the address posted.

Amazing Hosts to start off! Just spent Father's day with my 3yo and 2 large dogs. Will return again! Everything you need from water toys, settings, supplies, firewood, snd much more. Easy access to everything, even local stores miles for any consumables forgotten.

Sweet Stay
The kids and I had the pleasure of staying at Kristin and Dales (kids ages 10, 8.5 and 7) we absolutely loved Kristin and Dales.
The lake is gorgeous! The water temp is perfect! It gets colder the deeper you go which for us was what we needed on a hot day, it was so refreshing! We had so much fun just diving/jumping/cannonballing from the dock over and over and over again. The kayaks are ready for use whenever you need. So we went a couple times a day. They have a giant fire pit. I forgot marshmallows and Dale treated us to his delicious gourmet roasted marshmallows! Kristin made us banana bread in the morning. The kids played with their two young grand kids. We felt right at home. It was like we were visiting friends. The perfect trees for hanging hammocks. Our own trash bin. A grill at our tent site. They left us a beautiful letter explaining everything with our very own chigger creek sticker and frisbees for us to enjoy! They are dog friendly and less than an hour from RVA. Just 10mins away is an amazing taco truck. They had a fridge right by the tent site which I used to store our extra fruit we bought. They have everything you need. We felt right at home. This place is all and all just beyond wonderful. We cant wait to go back! Thank you sooo much Kristin and Dale!!!

Well Worth the Stay!
Me, my husband, and my dog thoroughly enjoyed our time at Chigger Creek. We spent the weekend there, but I would have loved to extend to at least 1 week. It was so peaceful. We have a 30ft travel trailer and spot #2 was a perfect fit. Great fishing spot. My husband caught 13 within 2 hours. The hosts were great. We will definitely return.

A great place to relax
Was Greeted by homeowners and she explained everything. Awesome amenities, a place to enjoy nature. The water, canoe, kayaks were available for you.
She even presented us with banana bread. And it was good.
Nightly fires was made and that was the highlight of camping.
