98 acre working produce farm with lots of wild space and creek that flows the entire property. Close to Downtown Staunton and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Lots to see and do in this area or just relax and enjoy the wildlife and the sounds of blue herons passing. The handmade timber frame cabin has lots of character and complete visual privacy. 12x16 space with twin mattress bed, kitchen area with propane cookstove, water filter, dry sink. Small woodstove and loft for sleeping. Outhouse available close by the cabin. Access is fairly easy but would be best in 4wd vehicle. Please, no dogs as we have lots of farm animals.Meadow Cabin is privately nestled on the edge of our working vegetable farm between the confluence of Christians Creek and Silver Branch. Listen to the creek, watch the birds and wildlife and enjoy the peace and quiet. Walks along the creek and up to our ridge pasture where there are views of the Alleghany Mountains. 12x16 hand-crafted timber frame cabin with a loft. One Twin bed, plus space in the loft for many sleeping pads. (2) narrow twin memory foam folding pads make up sofa and can be used for sleeping. Bring your own sleeping bags. Woodstove. Firewood provided. Kitchen with propane cookstove, utensils, dry sink and Berkey water filter. Covered porch with chairs to enjoy the awesome sunsets and campfire. Dry cabin. No electricity. Outhouse just 40 ft from cabin.

Great place. Open field. Nice night sky. Cabin is great to take the edge off primitive camping. Close to parkway and other good hikes. Great hosts!

I'll come back any chance I get!
This place is really really special. I stopped through for one night on my way from FL to RI and I have never felt more well rested and deeply restored getting back on the road for another long day's drive. It's beautifully and thoughtfully constructed, snug, bright, warm once you get the sweet lil woodstove cooking (I had a bonfire outside and the got the woodstove going!) It smells so good in there, the stream wraps around behind and runs all along the meadow. Sunset, moonrise, blanket of frost, sunrise, moonset, all glorious. I would come back and spend a whole season there. Beautiful farm, great book collection. Very grateful these folks are sharing their very special place in this way.

Great little place to seclude yourself. I got the picturesque mountains and snow during my stay. We'll equipped cabin even though I didn't use much of it!

Our favorite HipCamp spot!!!!
Beautiful, private, well-stocked and full of adventure. Hiking and fishing on the property as well as Staunton and Fishersville nearby to explore…games, books, and puzzles in the cabin keep you entertained no matter the weather. The outhouse is in fine working order; there’s plenty of gatherable wood for the fire pit and they supply plenty of cut wood for the woodstove. The loft is easy to access and stays toasty warm, and the double-burner propane stove and Berkey water filter offer “glamping” at its best. An incredible experience!!

William’s cabin and land are just lovely. We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve at the cabin. The woodstove was such a treat, and the space was perfect for a quiet evening of board games and reading. The open field offers excellent star-gazing opportunities. We do hope to return!

Awesome cabin. Wood stove kept it toasty. Fun place to hang out. Hosts are friendly and accommodating. A friendly sweet dog was an added bonus.
