A beautiful space in natural surroundings. We enjoyed the fresh breeze flowing through the large screened windows. The cabin was minimalist and tidy with attractive antique/vintage furniture. It was closer to Suzanne's house than expected (100 ft). Though she was away, and we had plenty of privacy. There was a highly protective/territorial neighboring dog up hill who took his job seriously and had a few barking episodes. While some may consider the compost toilet a pleasant amenity, we did not. Being that it was such a small space, it was somewhat off putting that the sleeping space and food prep area were in such close proximity. The privacy screen around the toilet was a nice touch, however needs replaced, it has black spots spread throughout. Also I would prefer info/instructions on the potty to be located in the potty area as opposed to the food prep area. Suzanne was a good communicator, allowed us to bring our pup, and even offered a later check out time. The rug could use a non-slip pad underneath, it tends to wander. Our favorite part of staying at Pond Haven, was enjoying the little stream with its small waterfalls which ran into the pond. I was surprised that there was no lock on the cabin, a simple latch would have been nice. The bed was very comfortable.
