In a remote valley, along the banks of Craig's Creek, just north of Roanoke VA, the property includes mature hardwood forest, pasture, and an 1830s log cabin where we live. We love to share this special place with visitors, and have some basic amenities for campers. The campsites are at the edge of a large pasture and just a few steps from Craig Creek and our big swimmin' hole. Totally secluded in a remote valley - no houses or roads in sight (but our cabin is a short walk through the woods if you need something), no cell service for most providers, but within a short drive of Roanoke and Blacksburg, and countless outdoor recreation opportunities.

Savage Acres: Creekside Woods
Beautiful location on the creek! Exactly as described! Very quiet with running water as you fall asleep. Next time in the area, I will def camp on Ned’s land if available.

Savage Acres: Maple Knoll
This was our second time staying at Maple Knoll. The site is beautiful mowed grass with plenty of shade from the very old maple tree. Craig 's creek is awesome here with 2 nice swimming, fishing holes - water is very refreshing . Can't wait to go back!!

Walnut Bottom
This campsite was great - set apart a bit under big beautiful trees. Lots of room to explore, so many fireflies at night, and the creek was perfect for our dogs and 2 year old!

Savage Acres: Maple Knoll
Beautiful camping spot! We loved staying right by the creekside. It was a nice private spot as well which was great since we were there with a baby

Peaceful and restful
I love it at Ned and Alexis’ land. Peaceful, beautiful, restful. My second time. I’m sure I’ll come again.

Savage Acres: Creekside Woods
My boyfriend, a couple friends and I stayed at the creekside site and it was absolutely amazing. The personal little beach on the beautiful creek is just perfect. And the bigger beach just down to the right of the site was also stunning. We definitely plan on swimming next time! Easily the most beautiful site/property/area we have ever camped in. Highly recommend!!
