River Site Glamping Tent
Peggy and Pat have such a beautiful property - I am so glad they share it with hip-campers. The site was wooded and secluded, but not a far walk at all to the pond near their house where you could also get cell service and take a shower in the bath house. The mattress in the tent was comfy, and the tent itself was SPACIOUS. We had a whole day of rain, and spent all our time in the tent and on the porch and still had such a great time. It is wonderful to be able to see and hear the river from the covered porch or inside the tent - roll the flaps up! The coffee bar had cocoa, cider, ALL kinds of coffee pods. There were also board and card games. The A/C kept the tent very comfortable (~73-78). The toilet at the campsite is fabulous, but has a limited number of flushes (9-10) before you need to call for a reset. The outdoor kitchen is incredible. There was not a utensil or item missing - towels, drying mats, knives, a lighter, bottle openers. The cooler had plenty of space for just two of us, and Pat brought down a bag of fresh ice each morning. We saw all kinds of wildlife - deer, butterflies, fish, ducks, and a (friendly, far-away) bear. There is a cabin available on the property as well, but we only saw any other campers to and from the bath house. The 5 gallon water jugs had spigots and were great for drinking, washing dishes, making french press coffee... There is no shortage of adventure from the nature trail to the pond and paddle boat, plus the zip line!
