The cottage is built over a spring that has been providing the water for the Breneman house for 150 years. The spring flows beneath the springhouse, through a chamber once used for cooling, and on to form the neighboring pond. My family and I live in the main house, and the spring house is across the backyard from us. You have the whole cottage to yourself. Your porch faces away from our home and other than the curious cows on the other side of the fence, is quite private. We have rented on Airbnb for years and are starting to transition off that platform. You can seeBeautifully renovated spring house on the grounds of the 1800s Peter Breneman House in Rockingham County, Virginia. Soak up peace and quiet in one of the most beautiful corners of the Shenandoah Valley. Enjoy starry skies, sunrises, and birdwatching from your private porch.

We now stayed at the cottage twice and have really enjoyed it. The host is very thoughtful and the cottage is super cozy.
