Welcome to our small Farm and Inn, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison County, Virginia. Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, we offer intimate nature-inspired cottages and camping on our 120-acre working farm. Enjoy an evening under the stars with fireflies and a campfire after a long day hike, fly fishing on one of our beautiful trout steams or touring the local vineyards and breweries. We currently offer one cottage and a few campsites for our guests. Our campsites are all private, located acres apart with tables, chairs, firepits, some elevated sleeping areas, some hammock spots and a few with a roof. Three of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have four drive-in sites that will accommodate two or three vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers on our main farm due to our narrow mountain driveway. Wisteria Camp has a private driveway therefore can accommodate small RV/Trailers. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm! Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours. The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries. A few offerings on the farm. Tasting in the 1850s Chestnut log cabin, tubing trips, breakfast and picnic lunches, Animal experiences and Yoga. Please inquire about renting the property for private small events.

Dream stay!
This campsite experience was an absolute dream: peaceful, beautiful, and well-maintained. Butterflies all day and blackberries in the bushes. I was so sad when I had to leave. Thank you for an amazing escape!

Sawmill Cottage near Shenandoah NP
Great Cottage!
This is a great little cottage to stay at if you are planning on doing some of the many activities in the area. The cottage is not on the main farm but is only a two minute drive away. Everything was clean and well maintained. I did not have any cell service either so you need to use the home WiFi for making calls.

Birdsong Camp: Near Shenandoah NP
Jennifer was an AMAZING host. She had so much to share about the area, her property, and her animals. Her animal stories are hilariously colorful, and her store is full of custom memorabilia related to her farm. The birdsong campsite is likewise wonderfully quiet, quaint, and private. There are also trails right around the farm that are worth a quick jaunt, especially if you find your way to the wizard! She has so many projects going on to further enhance the amenities and the experience, and there is no doubt another visit will be in order!

Butterfly Camp: Near Shenandoah NP
Private and peaceful on a hilltop
This was a very peaceful and private camp site that was situated in the hills, and surrounded by trees. Maybe a little bit too hilly as there was no level ground. Host was responsive, with great directions on how to arrive and a long list camp rules. Overall experience was good, though we were disappointed with the outhouse "bucket" that needed to be bagged up after use.

Wisteria Camp near SNP
Wonderful retreat
We loved tent camping on Jennifer's land. Wisteria was beautiful and private. We visited in June 2024, the "hang out" area was wonderfully shaded and stayed so cool on a very hot day. The amenities provided made packing for primitive camping much easier. We visited the farm and it was a joy to meet Jennifer, tour her beautiful land, shop at the farm store, and visit all the well cared for animals on the property. We also drove up the road to the swimming hole at the river. It was a quick drive to old rag and overall I would highly recommend.
