Absolutely loved it here, and we can't wait to be back! Gary and Jeanette were the most welcoming folks, and even helped me find space for my oversized tent. They made my son a very happy camper! :)
Right on the water and fairly quiet, plus only a couple minutes drive from great breakfast. I also had phone service the whole time!

Great spot for a long weekend
Good site on the river. Saw mill across runs at night but is not too loud. Had a deer friend visit in the middle of the night. Close to the town of Raymond with plenty of amenities

Great site! Large enough for an 8 person yurt tent and 2 more 4 person tents.

The site was easy to find from the directions given after booking. The ground was level and there was a port o potty as advertised. I did not have the best experience however. About 15 minutes after my arrival at about 9pm, the campground monitor pulled up to my vehicle with his truck lights on and approached me to ask "what are you doing here." I responded that I was using the site I paid for, and asked to double check if I was in the incorrect spot. (I was in the spot I paid for) The campground monitor said he didn't check to see if he had a booking but said he believed me and then drove off. He then proceeded to use power tools at night which made it difficult to sleep. He sent a text of apology with an offer of a free night, but I declined and left early in the morning. I wish the owner well but this was not a welcoming experience and I won't be back.

Campsite 5
This is a review for campsite #5. This site is a nice treed-in spot along the Walapa River within the town of Raymond. We had a great view of the river from our site and there is access to the river for fishing or kayaking just steps away. We did not fish, but were told that fish can be caught right up by the shore. Site 5 fit our 14ft travel trailer with plenty of room to spare. There were also blackberry bushes that would be ripe in a few weeks. Expect some noise from the sawmill accross the river at site 5 through the day and night, although we didn't find it bothersome. Gary was a great host. He solved any problem that came up quickly and with care. He was hard at work developing the rest of the campground. We can't wait to see how the rest of the campground progresses!
