Come stay in our beautiful safari tent and experience our flower farm and old-growth Maple Forest. Located in the heart of Olalla near the Colvos Passage waterway, a ferry ride from West Seattle, 20 minutes from Tacoma, and near the quaint town of Gig Harbor. Last year we upgraded to two queen sized memory foam beds!! Lovely 100% cotton sheets and cozy blankets will keep you nice and comfy on those cool nights. Two extra twin sized cots are available to rent in the "Extras" section of the listing.** You will feel very secluded on our 5 acre property. Our parcel is partially wooded and partially cleared for our flower farm. But it adjoins neighboring properties that have an additional 20+ acres that are totally wooded giving the feeling of being further away from civilization than you are. Enjoy an outdoor shower on the edge of the woods with on-demand hot water. You’ll also have your own custom made steel fire pit with fire wood available for purchase (or you can bring your own). We have an outdoor picnic table as well as a table inside the tent for late night card games. There's a lovely little bathroom with a composting toilet and a sink with running water. We allow up to 6 people (absolutely no pets) and request that parties respect the limit so that our composting toilet can keep up with the demand with minimal servicing while you are here (to maintain your privacy). Please contact us to set up a time for a guided tour if you are interested in seeing the farm up close. Please no U-pick or tours without guidance. We’d like to make sure to point out that there is convenient and dedicated parking for campers but the camping spot is about 200 feet from the parking area and over uneven ground. A cart is provided for unpacking your vehicle. Because it is very dark here at night, we would request that campers arrive before dark to safely find their way and unload with adequate light. Things provided: Weather proof tent, two queen sized beds and bed linens, outdoor and indoor tables chairs, solar-powered lights, composting toilet, firepit, outdoor shower with hot water, parking for 2 cars. NOT provided: Extra bedding or sleeping bags (for the rentable cots,), cookware, dishes, power of any kind, ice or food.Come stay in our beautiful safari tent and experience our flower farm and old-growth Maple Forest. In addition to the safari tent there is another flat and wood-chipped pad for an additional tent for your buddies or children to have their own space. We may have the prettiest outhouse on Hipcamp! There's a lovely little bathroom with a composting toilet and a sink with running water. Enjoy an outdoor shower on the edge of the woods with on-demand hot water. You’ll also have your own custom made steel fire pit with fire wood available for purchase (or you can bring your own). Feel free to walk and enjoy the flower field on a self guided tour, but if you’d like more information about the flowers and how they are grown, or if you’d like to pick flowers, please contact us to set up a time for a guided tour and help picking. We have two very friendly dogs, two farm cats, and a herd of free-ranging ducks so we are not allowing pets to come camp at this time. Legit service dogs are welcome though. Local Activities: Bring your kayaks and SUP boards to the Olalla boat launch for a paddle in the lagoon or walk along the beautiful beach. Come experience some great local food and fun at the Olalla Bay Market and Olalla Winery, or explore the shops, restaurants, breweries, and distilleries in downtown Gig Harbor. There are also local trails, parks, and hikes that we can recommend if you are looking for a quick day adventure. Many local, public golf courses are nearby too. Things to bring: sleeping bag or bedding of choice, pillow, flashlights/headlamps, food, drinking water, ice, cooler. Things provided: Weather proof tent, two twin sized cots, outdoor and indoor tables chairs, solar-powered lights, composting toilet, firepit, outdoor shower with hot water, parking for 2 cars. Might we suggest pairing them with some squares of chocolate? Ingredients: Rice Krispy cereal, marshmallows, real butter, vanilla. and a touch of sea salt. (We have roasting forks for Hipcampers to use at the site too)

One Twin Sized Cotrental

This is a nice, wide twin sized cot. No mattress or cushion, just the cot. Very comfy though and much better than sleeping on the ground! Feel free to bring your own sleeping pad/cushion to use on top of the cot for extra comfort.

Guided Farm Tour and Flower Pickingexperience

A guided tour of our flower farm operation with an introduction to our flower varieties, growing methods, and hands on help harvesting a bouquet that you take home with you. Our flower farm is not open for U-pick to campers without guided assistance from a farmer so this is your chance to experience this yourself! Tour is about an 30-60 minutes and includes the price of your bouquet. Suitable for older (10+) children who can follow instructions and be safe around sharp clippers and farm equipment.

Cozy, comfy, perfect family getaway

We had such a lovely time, even with less than ideal weather! The beds were very comfortable (probably the most comfortable beds we’ve had ant ANY accommodation) and sufficiently warm. The tent was super spacious and it was nice to have a little seating area inside where it was dry. Jodi was very willing to answer ALL of our questions so we felt sufficiently prepared. It is clear that this property is well loved and the hosts take pride in providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay for their guests.

Great overall! Very large tent, nice fire pit area, and very nice bathroom/outdoor shower. Very accessible site in all but the lowest of vehicles and wonderful very thoughtful couple with great hospitality!

Perfect end to August

We loved staying at the flower farm, with all the lovely amenities that have been well described by other reviews. Jodi and Aaron were very responsive and helpful and made sure everything was working for us. The tent is pretty epic---such a luxury of space and comfort and certainly provided a glamping experience for three people who have spent decades wrestling with tents and then crawling into them for awkward, cramped overnights. We felt like princesses and slept remarkably well in the comfy beds being sung to sleep by distant coyotes and great horned owls. We spent the days on our SUPs at two fun local spots and spotted many creatures. There are many places to put in within a 15 minute drive! And if you need something, the two nearby stores are great for anything you need during your stay.

Lovely spot. Flowers were beautiful. Felt very safe. Loved the instant hot water shower. Beds were super comfortable. Not totally quiet—morning birds and neighbors were definitely up early. Hosts were friendly and responsive.

Cozy flower farm and kind hosts!

Beautiful property and wonderful hosts! Jodi and her hubby were so kind and accommodating. They even brought us and our wild kids firewood with a tractor upon request! They also gifted us a s’mores bundle and had the best outdoor shower and view ever. Jodi was super responsive to our annoying frequent messages and gave us tons of ideas and local resources for activities. Everything was super close, it was crazy. The beds were super comfy and Jodi left fresh flowers from her farm on the nightstand 🤗🙏

What a relaxing stay we had at the flower farm. The hosts, Jodi and Aaron are amazing. Quick to respond and oh so helpful. This was a first time camping experience for our kids so the luxury of beds and cots, the adorable and spotless “bathroom”, running water for hand-washing and teeth brushing… all so helpful in camping without buying all the gear. We’ll be back!
