Welcome to Olympic Wanderer! Our little slice of PNW paradise is in a quiet heavily forested community next to the hood canal in the heart of the Olympic Peninsula. Enjoy a camping-like experience at this private creek side retreat, without the extra work or discomforts of camping, as you have a cozy well appointed rustic cabin fully stocked with everything you need for your getaway! The outdoorsy options here on the peninsula are endless, and our property features a charming fully stocked cabin, a private creek, firepit, hammock and hot tub. We are within 15 minutes of several state parks, hiking trails, waterfalls, and hood canal access. Directly across the street from the property is the entrance to miles and miles of forest service roads and OHV trails. We have a huge driveway with plenty of room for boat/trailer parking. OHV welcome! We are right in the middle of various access points to Olympic National Park, as well as the Olympic National Forest. Brinnon is a very small town, but there is a waterfront bar/grill and a few other small restaurant choices, with additional options in both nearby Quilcene and Hoodsport.Our cabin is the perfect home base to explore the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park. Within 10 minutes are several beautiful state parks, hood canal access, waterfalls, and hiking trails and kayaking galore. Our property is located directly across the street from access to national forest service roads to explore with your off road vehicles. The property itself is a great place to relax, enjoy a fire creekside, relax in the hammock, or take a long soak in the hot tub. IfYou are lucky you might get a glimpse of our local elk herd!

Olympic Wanderer-Creekside Retreat

Cute spot buried in a secluded, calm and pristine woods, just on the east side of Olympic National Forest near Brinnon. Was exactly what we were looking for: A quiet getaway from the daily hustle and bustle of big cities. Great hosts whom supplied all the amenities you’d expect and then some. Thank you!

Our family had a great time. The cabin was rustic, cozy, and clean. There were plenty of activities to do at the cabin. The hot tub was clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again.

Olympic Wanderer-Creekside Retreat

Cute, cozy, not-too-fussy cabin. We spent lots of time in the hot tub and made a nice homemade steak dinner to eat on the table on the porch. We appreciated the binder with local recommendations, and the host was helpful/communicative. It was a big plus that we could bring our pup!

Olympic Wanderer-Creekside Retreat

The Olympic Wanderer was a lovely retreat for my family. The cabin is very cozy. The hot tub felt great. There were a lot of activities for us to do with our 11 year old. We played in the creek, basked in the sun on the beautiful bridge, had a campfire, played pool and darts, explored the area. Holland was super responsive and gave us a lot of recommendations. She recommended Rocky Bluff Falls and it did not disappoint! Easy to get to and the waterfall was massive. Beds were warm and comfortable. I did not want to leave. Hope to visit again!

What a wonderful stay we had. A mid week celebrational stay with all immediate family. Such a homely vibe. The wee bridge and stream with the fire pit and s’mores at night. Lovely area. Thank you for a very comfortable relaxing stay

Olympic Wanderer-Creekside Retreat

We (my wife and my 5 year old son) had amazing stay here. Great location. Host provided amazing recommendation on what to do around and where to eat. We enjoyed the hike to the Murhut Falls which was really close by. Hot tun was amazing. Wi-fi was good enough to have some zoom meetings.
